- We tortured the Greenworks GPW2700 electric pressure washer for more than 4 months to see how well it would hold up. Chase over at Michaels Auto Detailing gave us the true feedback.
Can you supply links to the updated wand and hose?
Mine died after the 5th use having it less than a year. I called greenworks, sent a few photos, and they replaced it at no cost. Had the replacement within 5 days.
It sucked that it died, but the costumer service was great!
Thank you for this review. I really appreciate this information. I do have a follow-up question. In your opinion with the right attachment(s) does this product have the capacity to effectively power wash a wooden deck or concrete driveway?
Yes it does i just pressure washed my entire like 50 ft by 20 ft driveway and it worked great
Should add a link to the stubby gun with soap dispenser used in the video.
I hate that it doe t shut off when the trigger is not be8ng pushed that alone makes me not buy it to noisy
Thanks to your review, my wife said I can get one!! woo hoo!!!!
I'm glad we could aid in your frivolous spending.😉 Let us know how it works for you. What are you using it for? Just general purpose? Thanks for watching and commenting.

How does this compare to the Ryobi Brushless pressure washer?
I'm not sure, we haven't reviewed the Ryobi pressure washer yet. Thanks for watching.
We want to see Ryobi vs greenworks wich one s better ????
Would you use a 1.1 orifice or a 1.25 or 1.35 in your foam cannon for this specific pressure washer? Great video man!
Where would I find the stubby style set-up for the gun? That looks way more comfortable.
How is this now a year later?
Sure my wife just gave me money to buy one of this
That's great to hear. Enjoy the purchase and let us know what you think.
I don’t get the ‘run all the time’ benefit explanation. My AR blue clean shuts off when you release the trigger and it always delivers instantly when you next pull the trigger. Even the portable Kranzle shuts off with trigger release.
I haven't used the AR or Kranzle units yet, so I can't speak for them. All the other electric PW that we've used, if the motor shuts down, there's typically a couple-seconds lag time until your get a pressurized stream again. Thanks for watching.
Excellent review. Thanks gentlemen!
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching.
Nice review , could i take the pressure washer motor off the stand and put in my mobile suv? You still got this greenworks?
Great review - have you compared this to Greenworks Pro 3000 2 GPM ?
Model
5110502VT
I need a longer electrical cord. What kind of extension cord works with this?
Go Noles
For 50.00 more, I would get the 3000 psi.
What's 50 these days. Couple of large pizza, week worth of Starbucks, buying round of drinks for 4 of your buddies.
Great point! Thanks for watching.
What if you have a mobile detailing business? What water tank and generator would you recommend as well?
Most people use the customer's water. I'm not sure how many are using electric but it would also plug in at the site.
How does this compare to say a 160 cc gas pressure washer? You will get the same psi, but half the gpm, but how does it compare?
Many times, the gas engine will outperform an electric when you compare the GPM at the rated PSI. Without knowing the actual model number, it's hard to compare. The threshold for an electric pressure washer is that it can only pull 15 Amps of power, since that's what 120V outlets are certified to output. Thanks for watching and commenting.
From the manufacturer’s website: “Our most powerful electric pressure washer 2700 MAX PSI at 1.2 GPM, 2.3 GPM flow at 100 PSI.” So you’re not getting 2.3 GPM at 2700 PSI.
yeah man, shop tool was shitty for not telling us this in the beginning.
Sorry, this wasn't intentional at all. At the same time, this the most powerful electric pressure washer we have tested. Thanks for watching and for commenting.
I agree that you torture tested it. According to the Greenworks website it is not meant to be used vertically.
Please note that this unit is not designed to be operated in a vertical position, it should only be stored vertically.
Well, I guess we should have read the directions. It was used for years this way. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews hey at least that means we don’t have to baby it that it should stand up to time!
do you have a link to the gun and also any additional hose
Any review for the GPW3000?
We have not reviewed that yet. We'll see if we can get one in soon. Thanks for watching.
This thing is loud, why does it continue to make noise while not being used between trigger squeezes?
Typical electric pressure washers, when you pull the trigger, you have several seconds that you have to wait before it builds pressure again. With this "PRO" model, the continuous running motor bypasses the water and always keeps pressure on tap. The lag between the trigger pull is much less. Thanks for watching.
U think it only good for car wash. ? I wanna wash my driveway and brick etc too
It will definitely work for your home and driveway. Thanks for watching.
The third time using this the GFI on the power cord keeps popping, anybody else have this issue & any suggestions?
Are you using an extension cord? Are you plugging it in to a GFI outlet?
What’s your opinion on this compared to the 2000 Greenworks
Thoughts on Karcher cub series 1700,1800,1900
I haven't used the 2000 much, but I do recall this 2700 has some real improvements over that. We haven't reviewed the Karcher units yet, but we here they have some really good machines.
I will never buy Karcher again.
Where is the Greenworks 3000psi review?
We haven't gotten our hands on it yet. Thanks for watching.
How many amps does this draw?
Right at 15A. I believe it may state 13A draw, but I've tripped the internal 15A inline reset breaker on a few occasions. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews Thats what I was worry about. I have only a 15amp breaker set up for my garage. How were you able to trip it a few times? What settings? thanks again!
What degree of nozzle do you use for washing your cars
Typically, 40-degree nozzle is safe for car washing. Thanks for watching.
The foam doesn’t seem that thick
foam thickness is more of a soap product + recipe (ratio) + cannon + preference. Some electric pressure washers just can't quite activate the foam cannons as needed.
Shop Tool Reviews is this 2700psi@2.3gpm?
MTM Hydro PF22 Professional Foam Lance
You have to get a smaller orifice for the foam cannons if you want to use electric power washers and want that thick foam
After a 3 uses the motor stopped working and I didn’t get any pressure, I quickly returned it 👎🏻
Whoa!!! Really? That's a bummer. Ours is still going strong and it gets used regularly. Also, the one at the auto detailer, which is where this review was filmed, it gets used multiple times each day, and still going strong. So sorry for that headache. Thanks for letting us know.
@@Shoptoolreviews I actually bought it after watching your video, just to see the review after I saw it at Lowe’s, it worked pretty good but I’m not sure what happened, in the middle of spraying my siding I lost pressure, the motor was still on but it stopped pumping air, I waited a couple days, rigged everything back up, the motor turned on but the pump wasn’t building up any pressure, if it still worked I would of kept it, but realized it wasn’t cheap so I went ahead and returned it, thinking of getting a gas powered one.
@@tingtingnoy3133 I did have a small problem with mine, but it was easily fixable. Something similar may have happened with yours.
After each use, the pump housing has to be lubed with pump saver. If not, mineral deposits can cause the pump to seize. This happened to me once already. I had to attach the pump saver can, and turn on the motor as I pressurized the line to break it loose. I had also used cleaner without flushing the tank out with water, with noticeable corrosion where the tank's tube connected with the pump. This may have been a contributing factor.
Anytime I use it now, I do the following:
- If cleaner is used, flush the system out with water.
- After shutoff, place the machine upright to allow water to drain from the pump.
- Once ready to store, lubricate pump with pump saver.
@@stupid47 I only used it three times before it stopped working. Brand new, perhaps I just got unlucky and got a defective one, but I’m able to get a gas powered one,
I’ve been told that the gfci doesn’t always reset, is there a fix for that?
I've heard of this issue as well, however, we have not had this trouble. Ours trips every now and then, but it resets as expected.
Shop Tool Reviews I hope I won’t have the gfci problem when I purchase one for myself in the future, thanks for the input!
Do they still make this pressure washer and where can I find it
Lowes online is the only place I've seen so far where I could return it easily if it's unsatisfactory. There is now a 3000 psi version too. Am debating now!
Lowes.com is probably the only place you'll find it. Some of the stores carry it. Thanks for watching.
@@robbailey464 Lowe's does not carry it I just bought it online and it's missed marked on the website they say it's a 2700 but it's only a 1.2 gallons per minute pressure washer
@@tannern550 I just ordered the 3000 from Lowes.
@@robbailey464 I just ordered it also
230v will do this.
This model is only 120V. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews and it’s only 1.2 GPH
Very misleading. I would only suggest a north star 230v 30a electric pressure washer. They would make this job fun.
Thanks for the video.
What brand gun and foam is that he's using? Thanks.
The gun is a gun off of Amazon and the foam is either Turtle Wax ICE Snowfoam or foam from one of his distributors. I can find out.
He used the 4000 psi gun listed in the link below, but it's showing not available. You may be able to get one of their other guns.
Also, he's using Hyperclean Soap from Total Auto Solutions.

@@Shoptoolreviews Thank you for that info. Does that soap require you to scrub the vehicle or does it work such that you can apply it and wash it off without having to scrub the vehicle?

Wife jus got me one, works great
Awesome, that's great to hear. Glad it's working well for you. Thanks again for watching.
So you can wash and paint the house you've been ignoring.
I love this pressure washer. Its well worth the price. I use it mainly for my cars. But also on for my driveway, deck, rock wall, and exterior of our house.
what orifice do you recommend ?
Can it remove paint from wood siding
The guy wouldn't even answer your question
Based on this review I purchased this power washer. Thank you. This is my 1st pressure washer. Questions. I saw the small extension hose with the spiral spring at Lowe's and it's rated for a max of 60 PSI. Why does it not fail given pressures of 2000 PSI plus for this unit? Aren't there better options? Also what detergent do you recommend? I'll be washing the patio, driveway, house and cars. Thanks again.
Because the spiral hose in on the domestic pressure side of the pump. So it only sees city water pressure.
Hello, is still working ??
Do not buy, rip off, cheap Amazon one is as good and actually a bit better
I would disagree. This same machine has been used 6 days a week at a professional detail shop for the past two years. We're not saying it's the best in the world, but it's definitely held up for a while.
I just bought the 2700 PSI model. What foam cannon do you recommend??
That's a good question. We really haven't done any product reviews on the foam cannons, yet. We do have currently have the Maxshine foam cannon in for testing now. It lays a pretty thick foam down, but I can't say that I have any real data yet. Sorry I can't help you more on this. Thanks for watching.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME..... 2.3 GPM ONLY AT 100 PSI!
And? What's your point? Do you have a scenaro where this pressure washer hasn't worked for you?
he says that, towards the end of the video he corrects himself
Im buying one and they are even showing it in action! haha
@@Shoptoolreviews The point is, it outputs the same as a $79 pressure washer from HD or Lowes.
Just trying to help people get more for their money!
@@foam27 Well, which one do you recommend or find comparable to this one for $80?
