Mine is almost a year old. It'll be hard to go back from this kind of performance and luxury for the money. Standard maintenance from Geely North Edsa has been good and no difference from my experience with honda for example. Naturally iba iba sa other owners, but I'm glad I made the jump. Love it and I wouldn't hesistant to get a geely car next.
i own this car for more than a year now, and have no regrets. they also never given this car some love in the safety department 5 STARS on NCAP thats huge. compare it to the other competition in its time like the territory 3strs . definitely one car that you can say that its best bang for the buck kinda car. poor mans luxary car I love it
Very nice video! finally one that I could understand. I have my Coolray for 8 months now, and still VERY happy. I activate the sport mode once and yes!!! it put a smile in my face and it's a little intimidating (like when you feel too much power in your hands). All the good stuff mentioned in the video are totally true! you feel pleasure driving it! Love the cameras, the 3dView, auto-parking is amazing, 6 sensors has saved me to hit it several times!! I never been crazy with cars with sun-roof but I like it, auto-lights, tires pressure sensors works perfect! on board computer ( you see it in the driving screen with lots of statistics ), I just in love of this car for now. Unfortunately my version hasn't the auto-open backdoor and the only one big disappointment (nobody is perfect) is the lack of connectivity with Android (and I think it is worst for Apple), honestly I don't like the application QDLink, if I connect my phone there, I lost the radio and also I was expecting at least having native GPS device, I worked in the past with GPS devices (about 20 years ago) and they aren't expensive. GPS device and installing Google Maps or Waze will make this car perfect!!! You still can use QDLink and use your phone Maps on the 10 inches screen but is not exactly what I was expecting and it doesn't even take advantage of the fully 10 inches. Still is a car that I recommend and probably in 3 or 4 years will look for another one! Again thanks for the video.
Unit measurements for Tire Pressure and different settings can be changed sa Settings. Isa sa tinuro agad yun nung SA/Releasing Personnel sa amin noon sa Coolray namin. 11 months on without any issues at all. You get what you pay for, sulit na sulit. Hehe.
The Coolray is more than 3 years old in the Philippine market now, it's time for it to have some significant updates like the rear A/C vents and AEB that the international variants have. Still, even the first generation of Coolrays won't be obsolete when it comes to tech features and power for another decade.
Having reviewed both the coolray sport and emzoom r style, which one po ang ma recommend nyo sa amin.. we are planning to buy this month and we value your inputs. Thank you very much, Sir Vince! God bless.
Very nice review 👍😊 Mukhang totoo pala medyo may kalakasan o hindi sya ganun k fuel efficient, dahil din siguro sa lakas nya ay mag enjoy kasa pag apak ng silinyador.
Love the review, love this car ever since it launched. But as a young and techy consumer it would be perfect with android auto/apple carplay. As I was asking more about Geely, the installation of android auto/apple carplay from 3rd party, they said that the warranty was voided. Sad to hear but yeah I hope this helps.
The lack of apple carplay and android auto is for the owners to focus on the car and not be distracted by other stuff. This was what my dealership told me. It was an intended --- lapse, even you could call it that. Every time I park, I still look back - one year in. That ass looks sooooo damn fine. Nothing in its segment has REAL QUAD exhaust tips.
Sir Vince's review of the Coolray is a lot different than his review of the MG ZST and the VW T Cross. He FULLY loves the Coolray. He only PARTIALLY likes the ZST and TCross..
The Coolray is impressive, no doubt. For how I like to drive and what I would want in a crossover, it's hard not to be won over by it. Still, I want that Android Auto.
The coolray is being left behind in terms of feature set. It used to be class-leading, but is now kind of a little behind. However, it's still the leader in terms of power and speed in its segment, as no other subcompact crossover can touch its 177hp. I hope they come out with a more updated model soon, but even then it would just be playing catch up with Chery and Changan. It also needs to step up with the aftersales service, especially parts availability.
yeah there are flash mods for andriod auto and apple carplay but I dont think its really necessary. Didnt have them before with my past cars so it doesnt really bother me, almost 3 years with my coolray now.
Ang napalitan sa 2023 is ung Gear Lever pala more rubbery na sya unlike sa standard gear stick sa 2022 Premium feeling 💪🏼and Fog Light sa older models inalis naman sa 2023. Bakit Backwards ang modifications unless naka Okavango kaw stock sya😁
The vehicle that killed the Vitara😢.Proton is in South Africa now as is this and the Azkarra. Funny enough they get apple carplay and android auto. Overall its still a feature laden and dynamic package, to me the main drawback is that trunk space, for a vehicle as large as a Seltos, a Vitara which was a much shorter vehicle had more trunk space than this. In terms of litres(which is nonsensical unless you fill your car with water, if said this before, you guys putting a tape measure to trunk space is the most useful thing ive seen any car reviewer do when it come to luggage space) its on the same level as a hatchback or a sub 4 suv like a Venue. This is the largest oddity of the vehicle and tells me Geely doesnt know how to manage cabin space to maximum effect.
@@brianramos6128 gcr is more fun to drive, powerful and comfortable, high tech with looks, and most of all no recall, we drive to enjoy now, as in NOW, but if you think for the resale value? you shouldnt buy a car to wait for another 10 years just just to have a couple thousand for the value 🤑let me tell you this, ALL cars depreciate, you wait 10 years for your resale value while im, we are enjoying our ride for another 10 years also, make sense? 😝😝😝
The newly released Changan CS55 could give the GCR a run for it's money. While not in the same segment (the Changan is bigger), the price point is almost the same.
Yes the engine compartment is neatly covered. However, with all those covers, would not that also mean that the heat in the engine compartment is retained much longer? I mean, in the cold cold weather in China, that might serve a purpose but in the PH where the weather is predominantly sunny, the faster excess heat is ventilated out of he engine bay, I think hat would also mean the service life of the rubber or plastic components inside would also be much longer than expected.
I've been eyeing this for a while but what's holding me back is the buzz around it's DCT being jerky particularly during slow moving traffic. Comment how's your experience. I did a test drive once with the older version it's subtle but it's there

It can be reverted to stock setup
nah, it doesn't really void the warranty because you're not touching the physical headunit. besides, it can be restored back to stock, no harm done.

Just a spiel to address questions on why it's lacking. Those two were actually developed so you aren't distracted by your phone.
Hope they offer installation of ADAS for those who bought the SE soon!

City driving is 7 km per liter. The only downside. Big power = big fuel consumption.

Does it have foglights?
2022 model ba yan sir? Iba ung shifter ko ah. Di na nailaw
Just like to point out that why geely is still one of the best turbo chinese cars, because of the torque delivery as early as 1500rpm.
You'd feel the pull around 2300-ish actually, You can cruise on 1500rpm tho light on the throttle
Still a steal considering all u get for the price compared to other offerings

It's actually the CS35 tho
Was Changan deliberately omitted in the competition part? Because other channels put GCR below CS35+
Because Vince hasn't reviewed it yet.

Wondering about this too
Good points
i personally agree with this. and come to think of it. just to change the battery, spark plugs. you have many bolts, clips to remove.
Galit sa mikanikong pinoy ang mga chino kahit mga motor nila e hirap ng mga cover kahit simple lng ang aayusin mo..hehe
maganda to pwede sa overpass
Mainit yung coolray lalo kapag tanghali tapat dahil manipis lang yung cover sa sunroof glass nya. ramdam mo yung init.
Mas makapal na yung cover sa newer facelifts.

For my car, It isn't. having drove it on Butuan-CDO highway at 100kph, dct shifts are not noticeable.
My GCR is not jerky at all! It’s very comfortable to drive actually even on a bumpy road.
there aint no jerky man

jerky talaga kapag DCT galing kapag 0-20kph takbo.. tulad sa ecosport

Nah. More cars have better features and cost less than Geely cars. Plus their after service really sucks.

Great after sales for me
I beg to differ, you can't really find these tech improvements on other cars. can you name other cars for comparison?
