Excellent demonstration of how the CTX unmasks hidden silver in trash...Glad you stayed with it...I run High Trash and check it in FC...I usually run 24 Manual in good soil, but like the more accurate VDI's in Auto +3...I do run Deep vs Fast...and swing slow...Thanks for also showing a good plug removal and replacement...We need more guys to point that out to the new guys...We wont lose our detecting sites if we dont leave a trace and our plugs recover...Good Hunting...Greg from outside Buffalo NY...
Thanks a lot Greg, all of it is appreciated! Some of its tedious, some of it pays, some doesn’t. Some takes a lot of work, some targets show themselves right away. This is where a person almost has to have blind faith in the machine. Not how I like to work, but sometimes you just don’t have a choice. The machine RARELY lets me down...as long as I have done my part! GL when you’re able to get out again!
@@wizardsofwisconsin7400 I typically build my own programs and enjoy tweeking this machine to compare signals on targets...My go to program is Andy Sabich's pattern...Quite a bit more open than the tight discrimination pattern you mentioned below (39-50-27). Although I do get a little tired listening to all the iron and tabs...I may give yours a try...Looks like a good pattern for sniping high conductors...I'll see how it compares...We've been lucky to have some decent weather and temps in December this year...Good Luck out there...
I did it! I watched every single one of your videos from start to finish. They have been EXTREMELY helpful for someone new to FBS like me. Even though I have the etrac on its way, I know it shares many things with the explorer and ctx. Thank you for doing live digs too! Now I know what silver sounds like! 🤑
Ha! Scarred for life, sorry you had to see most of it...🤣🤣 I obviously wear my heart on my sleeve, what you see is what you get. You have a TREASURE of a machine young man, all you have to do is spend time with it. I am THRILLED for you!!
By far the best ctx 3030 videos on. The internet and have seen tons Love your no bullshit way and your live digs no dought it's on the up an up thanks again for sharing I got the bell turned on anxiously awaiting
Good ear! The 3030 was able to alert on the high conductor even with all the nails around. I was thinking wheat penny the whole time, so it was surprising to see a Merc pop out. Nice job Kevin!
Metal Detecting NWGA Ahhhh-HA!! You were looking at the numbers too, and also noticing the pitch was NOT indicating silver! An experienced operator sees these things, well done DeWayne! This place is one of the worst horror shows I’ve seen, but EVERYONE who has hunted it has had to contend with the same thing....total nonsense. However, it’s one of the oldest sites I have within an hour of me, and certainly has the potential for half dimes, trimes, etc....so I gotta suck it up and dig the low 30’s and up. My ONLY CC coin has come from this place, so I’m hoping I’ll quit finding Mercs and find something better one day! One day....🙂 Awesome to know you are well...
That was one I had to work for! You hunt a lot of the same types of places and are familiar with this nonsense we deal with. It comes right down to…the better you are with the machine, the chances of a decent recovery go up. By NO means do I win every battle, but it’s sure fun when it turns out like this!🙂
Bro!!!! Great job man!! Nice and shiny she was and good save .... the nails get ya with the halo effect and trick me all the time. glad ya stuck to it and got a beauty, congrats..... Glad to see ur still at the swing of things and thanks for sharing brutha!!! GL HH , and stay safe, stay strong !!
richie dinolfo OMG Richie this place is like someone MULCHED A BARN and buried it everywhere, no kidding. I’ve never understood HOW the volume of nails is....EVERYWHERE!! I think(know) we would ALL be shocked to know how many coins remain in these places, and that’s why I consider FBS/FBS2 to be my ace in the hole. The process by which the signal determination is made is being run in some other way than the conventional MD. I don’t know HOW, I just see the results. And at times they are stunning. Be safe out there keep scaring them up! We have a coin shortage you know....😆
That was a beautiful signal, great job on the recovery. I dig signals like that all the time, sometimes I’ll use target trace. CTX is the king, sweet live dig!!! The 6” coil is unstoppable in fast recovery.
Monster Tube The 6”coil is small, but it weaves in & out of trash like no other machine with spot on VDI. I just picked it up last week so I’ll probably post 5 vids of the 6” coil. I have a perfect trashy park for video.
I was wondering if I was going to have to drive to Wisconsin and plant some coins for you to dig. Then we would have more videos from you. How much time have you put on the etrac? Whats your opinion compared to the ctx? I've had 12 recovery calls since July 4. No time to dig coins right now the calls are not stopping. You were correct on the sunray X-12 coil on the etrac. That is a hot coil. I like it a lot.
Clare Winslow III I wish you would’ve Clare, coins are getting to be like finding unicorns riding a bigfoot! I have actually RE-SOLD the eTrac, because....it didn’t add anything that I could see. A spent a good amount of time with it and it’s a great machine, but planted solidly between the Explorer2 and CTX...which I already have. Also, for me....the ergo was ALL wrong, made my shit hurt within half an hour. COMPLETELY capable machine, just doesn’t have a spot in my crew. I’m glad you like the X-12, it has just about everything going for it! How did your recoveries go and where were they? All water? As always my friend....thanks!🤠
July 4 my recovery calls exploded and are not stopping. I'm on number 17 waiting on a petmit for using the detector in an off limits area. Its neen about 50/50 so far land to water. I agree the ctx is better than the etrac. I had to buy one and see for myself. I'll keep the Etrac I do like it a lot. The ergonomics is horrable. I'm going to see about changing the grip position over the winter. My recovery call are what pay for my detectors. I also just got an equinox 800. Just for the prospecting mode 40 kHz. To find earnings and hearing aids.

Excellent perseverance, way to go. : )
coin spader I ride the fine line of perseverance and stupidity ALOT Spader! Luckily...the CTX has a bigger brain than me...
