That's a fallacy defining it in a dogmatic light. People can have mild OCD, or hard OCD, depending on when and where. I will agree that it's sad that the world doesn't realise that none are fun,, an example I use in gaming is that yeah it might be a singleplayer game but despite having no competition one's brain will still judge and make it unfun. We're our greatest demon.
OCD has a whole spectrum, but this episode really showcased when it gets on the bad side of it. It was the one closest to home for me and made me cry like no other episode did.
I have an ocd so bad i couldnt really see? Because I keep blinking hard until my eyes water, I have to do certain things three times and I can't stop it, I was -- well. I understand this character completely, it's a realistic portrayal, I can try and make things better. But it's not curable at least now and it's so, so tiring. I really appreciate JD in this episode
It's ok, same here. You hope people don't notice but you know some do, but it's ok because the people you really care about accept you as you are. I know my gf could care less.
I have OCD. I don't do the hand repeated washing thing, but in front of public door handles, and without paper towels or my keychain hook thing, I could be stuck there forever. When he hits the water bottle, that is my right hand (Always my right hand) grabbing my hair out of frustration, and an inner monologue of "Grab it. Come on... grab it. You can do it. Its simple. Open the door and leave. It's so simple. Everyone else did it." vs. "That handle is full of germs. Lots of germs. Lots of people touched it. That means lots of germs. Germs get you sick. Could be _____ germ or ____ germ." UGHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I hate it!!! The fact he sits on that toilet means I can and WILL grab that door handle again one day!!!
Yeah the songs used in scrubs were licensed before streaming was a thing and therefore just for a certain time on TV and for all cd/ dvd releases so they had to change most of them. They're still pretty good i think but it's worth getting a real copy cause' they were just phenomenal
The reality subtext makes this worse. MJF has Parkinson's Disease. It will slowly consume him. He actually has had to retire from acting to an extent because of it.
As a young professional whose had a mental breakdown at the hospital and ripped the soap dispensers off the wall. Yes. I was top of my class. Yes I have GAD, adhd, depression, and OCD. And the thing I fear the most is going and working at a new place where they don’t know half my shit…(yes counseling, meds. And time help. Everything is fine but when I move to a new location I dunno I freak out) and yes everyone is nice and helpful, yes thank you…but I just want to go home….and sleep ….(and hide maybe…AAAAAAGHHHH)…I’ll be okay, can I have a coffee????Thank you, so what’s up? Yes I’m okay. But we need the weak moments to press on (thank god JD just listened…tha s all we need). Ya know?
One of the few true portrayals of OCD and one of its themes. Its and anxiety disorder and not some "funny quirky" behaviour.

This show hit me so many times in the feels it sucked... I nearly forgot about MJF's appearances. Such a good actor..

I learned so much about good morals and humanities from this show.
0:50 zach Braff really seemed caught by MJFs acting.
Scrubs in general had underrated acting

I feel like MJF channeled some of his Parkinson’s frustration for this scene.

Scrubs made me find a whole new respect for Coldplay
The Shield is another show that used their songs effectively
Memorable scene in the show.
Coldplay - Everything's Not Lost
holy smokes, this acting is amazing
interesting... in the prime version, it's a completely different song used... Licensing problems I guess...

Yeah, Prime changed a lot of the songs, I always find myself having to go back and find the originals when I rewatch..lol

SOMETHING MAKES ME FEEL LIKE MICHAEL J FOX's ACTING IN THIS SCENE IS HOW HE REALLY FEELS ABOUT HIS DISEASE HE HAS IN REAL LIFE....💔😭
I went to a massage parlor and asked for a sad ending once.
It was awful.
💀💀💀
