All 4 of the crew are kind of badass. It’s I’m awe watching Gina with those knots yet she still takes care of the whole inside on that boat. And Bryon prancing around from boat to boat like a dexterous squirrel. And captain with his knowledge and control. What an awesome team! I’d love to see a Q&A with all of them. 😊
12:40 So the captain can even start the engines on the tender with the remote, how cool is that !!! Excellent video Gabby, this was awesome ! Love how well you captured the very positive nature of the crews dynamic and some key points on how to be a crew member. Cheers !
I never realized what all is involved and your part in helping getting ready to set sail. The Captains area was quite impressive
The bridge?
I have so many questions! I really enjoyed spending last summer on the boat with you and the crew and am already enjoying this summers uploads. I’m not sure if you covered this before but how did you land this awesome gig?
Did you have much knowledge of boat life before or did you just learn along the way?
What happens if you are unwell and too sick to work for a day or two? And by sick I mean the type of sick where food handling wouldn’t be appropriate.
What do the boat owners think of your YT channel?
If you made dinner and the diners didn’t care for it for some reason would you throw together something else fast or would they eat it and just give it a low score and request you don’t make it again?
It’s such an interesting lifestyle and I really enjoy all the videos!
Please make a video answering these questions.
I love everyone of these questions questions!
Wow! That was so interesting. I have so many questions, but I'll limit it to these ones: Is there a specific distance that the smaller boat needs to be away from the yacht when it's being pulled? What was the purpose of having it out so far away when the weather was good, yet pull it in for safety when the weather is poor? Has another boat ever accidently come between the smaller boat and the yacht and cut the line or gotten tangled up in the line?
I was thinking some of these same questions!
I was just thinking about this the other day! I think it because if the yacht stops, we don’t want the tender to come flying into the back of it. It just gives us time to react.
5:20 - it's almost like a chain stitch in crochet.
It IS a chain stitch!
I actually enjoyed this behind the scenes video and loved seeing the different ways to tie rope knots!
The little dog sure looks like he’s loving being out on that deck watching everything!
He is adorable. I'm assuming that he is the owner's dog.
He's the real owner
I’m really not interested in boats at all but this is fascinating!
Same!! Lol
Same.
Same and I have no interest in cooking 😂
The technical parts are super interesting but HOW ADORABLE IS THURSTON?
Dog be like, “I’m king of the world!” And Thurston is not wrong.
Fun fact - that knot is also how you tie horses safely lol quick release in case someone gets spooked
This was so cool to see!!! Please please please keep making these!
Not me stopping and starting the video 50 times so I can learn that rope chain knot
Yeah, cuz sum people have lots of people living in their heads and it's hard to concentrate.😢
And me who grew up on a boat remembering when I learned how to do that..good memories! 😊
Great team work Abby
You work for very thoughtful owners
WOW that's pretty cool thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
It is highly illustrative of the degree of multitasking that is involved in being crew, when the stew is teaching the cook about knots.
Thank you, Abby-we're all looking forward to this trip!
Like your intro! Love how Thurston is so excited.
How well protected is the tender from theft? What's to stop thieves, having previously checked the specs, layout, controls etc online, from cutting the lines in the middle of the night?Presumably alarms would go off on board the yacht itself but the crew wouldn't be able to give chase in the RIB in time to catch up,even if they wanted to take a chance in case the thieves were armed.
I think the marina's all have security or a watchman.
Learning how the top 10% live in luxury! This is informative and fun at the same time! Thanks for sharing!
I love that the dog is helping too! It probably spends more time with the crew then the owner
More like 0.01%.
I'm so excited for you! We'll for me really, I enjoy your videos so much! Thank you for sharing!❤
Really enjoyed this video! Looking forward to watching more!
Just wondering, has your boat/yacht ever helped another boat in distress? Loved this video!
this was so cool to watch!
You work like a well oiled machine. Synchronic. Beautiful and interesting to watch.
Thanks for taking me along… I felt like I was standing next to you…well done❤😂🎉
That was fascinating!
Thurston is the best supervisor!
Enjoy your videos you are awesome!! Never been sailing but would like to do a day trip!! Love and Gratitude !!
I still can't get over the cost of some of these yachts. Even the bigger ones like Jeff Bezos has. It's crazy.
Thanks Abby! Hello Team
Thanks for sharing this.
Are you towing the tender all the way to the Bahamas?
Wow that is soo intense. One wrong move or not being quick enough and is could be disaster.
Great Video. Nice teamwork...
This is the same knot we use to tie up cattle at shows.
Love it, awesome
Where does the dog go to the bathroom
Great video, very interesting
Whose dog is that ?
Looks like a Numarine or a Sanlorenzo
Is the little boat for fishing?
Yes, 37 foot boat for fishing.
What is the tender for?
Goodness, you make the best videos ❤
That tender is pretty far ourlt there. Is it flagged. I used yo run planer boards, and people would drive across my lines.. I'm sure as far as that tender is out, the likelihood some jerk would cut between. Is it a real thing?
Captain is everything a to z.
What are the dogs duties?
Why do you guys pull other boats
Where does the dog use the bathroom?
Does Captain Mark and Gina own the yacht? Just curious.
No, they are crew.
Would love to see you man overboard drill
Why do you refer to this sized yacht as a mega yacht? There are way bigger yachts than this one.
So I assume the owners dont want to be on camera?
Very cool!!! It’s a lot work. 🫶🏼
