The maiden voyage of the "Guillotine Hammer"!

- Earlier this year, I purchased a manufactured Treadle Hammer from a friend. That treadle hammer had many great uses, but it also had design flaws that prevented it from being as versatile as I needed it to be.
My biggest problem was that it had a very short stroke. After using that hammer for some time, I learned the basic mechanical principles, and designed my own hammer. This new hammer was made with tool makers in mind. It's a hole punching machine, that can do a whole lot more.

that’s a really impressive design
That's a very interesting variation. Mr. Spenser would approve, I think!
Nice Thing !
looks really nice!
..i like the Treadle Hammer setup. After watching it in use i subscribed. Maybe you wouldn't mind a walk thru and show the design more. Great job on this...!
Thank you! I might do a walk through soon. I have plans to push the limits and see how heavy a ram I can put on this design before the physics of it stops working.
I would buy the plans if you have them
Nice work.
Thank you!
Id love some plans. I think i see minor reworks but i think thats a great, reasonably compact way to do it man!
Dude, ya better get a patent asap!
Martelo muito criativo é eficiente
Curious if you could get some good pictures of your design and create a slideshow for your channel. I have been contemplating different styles for awhile now and I think this would be the best option for me. I’m a disabled veteran and would have to sit on my tall shop stool in order to work the treadle because 1 leg doesn’t work so the adjustability would be beneficial to me for that reason as well as I like making tooling and use top tooling often.
