Brad, it is just so much fun to have the tools / equipment and get to play outdoors. It is definitely not work! enjoy watching you use all the different equipment. Happy birthday and thanks for the videos.
I think working on equipment, tankering around the farm, groundskeeping, farming, etc. even the smell of a diesel tractor running is something many people just don’t understand. But I don’t understand living in a large city with no yard so, we are all different. God bless, be safe and tractor hard!
sometimes we did them our with an excavator, sometimes we grind them.....we'll grind the ones in this video in an upcoming video. Here's some others we ground: ua-cam.com/video/dRAaH7PtNz8/v-deo.html
The property is looking great. I reluctantly got in the habit of using wedges years ago and now I use them all of the time and really help control the tree when felling. Keep up with the great variety of content.
Just wondering….Are you sure that was a “maple” tree you took down? From the video, it looked like it had longer-pointed, 5-pointed, star-shaped leaves. In my area, that would most likely be a sweet gum tree-which is often confused with a maple. Sweet gum leaves grow out alternately (somewhat staggered) on branches, while maple leaves grow out directly opposite of one another on the branch (like a left arm and right arm). And, while still pretty and beneficial to nature, sweet gum trees are often considered by some as just “trash trees”, unlike maples, which are very beautiful and considered very desirable hardwoods. So, if it was actually a gum tree, I say no big loss and a good decision on your part. Enjoy watching you work…😊
It doesn't make the "gum balls" so I assumed it was a maple. It was shading some of the smaller oak trees, so I took it out so they get more sunlight. Thanks for watching!
I appreciate the video share. Blessings and prayers for 2025 to you and Deb for safety, health, discernment, peace and success in His Awesome Holy Name ☝🙏🙌💪
What I have done in the past is use spring link (not the right name) tie rope to it and throw or climb up the tree and then tie the other end to my tractor and pull it tight so the tree is pulled in the direction I want it to fall
Just a reminder, be careful of widowmakers on dead trees. When they get rocked the dead tops break off and bonk you on the head. Hard hat with ear protection might help especially when out by yourself.

Amen to that!
Great video, do you use a stump grinder on the tree stumps? Looking forward to the next video.

Thanks! It's amazing what a little piece of plastic can do to move a tree!
thank you for the video
Thanks for watching!
hello..how long after shoulder reversal is this video...I have just had mine done and wondering if I can still use a chainsaw. Best wishes from the UK

Happy Birthday. Deer will go nocturnal around the full moon cycle so you see them less cause they can see better at night.
I think they can read the hunting regs too!
Are you fencing entire property ? If so are you concerned about less deer on your property?
The whole property is fenced....it just needs replacing on that side. Deer jump right over it!

That tree was tricky! Thanks for watching.
What I have done in the past is use spring link (not the right name) tie rope to it and throw or climb up the tree and then tie the other end to my tractor and pull it tight so the tree is pulled in the direction I want it to fall
That would have helped for sure!

They are called that for a reason, right?! Thanks for watching!
You need a cable and snatch block to direct the tree where you want it to fall and not fall on your equipment. 😅
Easy now, I don't want to look like I know what I'm doing. Thanks for watching!
@PineyGroveHomestead Then be like Lucas and put one on your side x side.🤣🤣🤣
@@rockandrattleretreat5830 That would be an expensive video!
The fruitless sweet gum tree does not produce the spiny seed balls called gum balls.
interesting. I will look it up. How else to tell?
that was a rotten tree!
It was at the top for sure....but we are going to get some good firepit wood out of the trunk I hauled off. Thanks for watching and the b-day gift!
