Another great field test, Pastor Doug, & a nice cutting tool for the money! Because that is most likely a seasoned oak, all those woods chips would make great hot coals in a cook fire! Thanks & to God be the glory! Pastor George
Awesome! I been waiting for one like this. Price is unbelievable !! Now to check out the dependability. Praying 🙏 Everyone is Healthy/Happy & Praying for 🌎 World ✌️ Peace everyday. Amen. - Big Jim New Hampshire USA aka Boston Strong
@@DougShoeBushcraft Took a tree down last week at a friends house and have been cutting it up for firewood. Got out the new knife and trimmed a bunch of large branches so they could be cut up. Worked just fine. Very sharp, sliced all the small ones of with one swipe. Handle is comfortable. Now has a home on the carrier rack of my ROKON 2-WD motorcycle...
I'm a khukuri guy. My favorite are khukuris from Kailash Blades out in Kathmandu. The problem I have with Western made "kukris" are they always put Western style/bowie style handles on the designs, which makes them dangerous, IMO. There needs to be a large flare out at the pommel that fills the entire palm, not just a hole with lanyard. Also, traditionally made khukuris are made with tough and flexible 5160 spring steel with differentially tempered blades that absorb and flex (nothing you can see) on heavy impacts when chopping.
Wow. That looks like pretty good value for money. Not sure if I can get one delivered to Australia as customs are pretty strict on some things. I'll have a go though. EDIT: Bummer. Does not ship to my location. 😥
I think I only have this one and one other. I like this one better because it's a Kukri while the other is more like a cleaver. I like having a point to drill things. Also, I think the kukri has more power in chopping. The other one is a beautiful knife, though. But if I had to choose between the two, I'd go with the kukri.
Can you please tell us/me why you don't like the 3ct13 ? Pros/Cons ? I don't know Anything about knife metals. TY. Have a Blessed Day. Big Jim New Hampshire USA aka Boston Strong
@@John-w9m8d it's known as a budget, Chinese steel. That said, I've never had a problem with it, personally. IMHO quality control, heat treat, etc is a bigger factor. All the products sent to me by Hitdudu so far have been good.
Thanks to you for reviewing this knife, for I bought it off Amazon, presently on sale for 30 days!
Nice. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for the info. When I said "kukri" I just meant the general style of the machete. You make really good points.

I'm sorry about that. New Hampshire, US never had many knife laws, and several years ago threw out the few we did have. So now everything is legal.
Of all the Hitdudu small machetes... what model do you like best... & why/reasonings? Thank you. Hope all is well in your camp.
