The shot at 10:50 Is perfect, and I mean literally everything about it is amazing. The camera placement, the train consist, the length of the shot, and oh my goodness... those rail joints... I LOVE those rail joints. I have replayed this shot at least 20 times or more by now just because of how much I enjoy it, Amazing Work!
The Downeaster is my local Passenger train and the only form of passenger rail I see “frequently”. I normally see it in OOB because I go there every 2 weekends to see my Grandma, and when it’s nice out we go to the busy area and if I’m lucky I’ll see either the Downeaster or a colorful freight train. Sometimes I see it in Portland but it’s more rare for me. I’m used to a slow Downeaster but I love seeing it at speed and just in general, and I’m glad other people railfan (or in my case, foam) this beautiful and underrated service.
I’ve shot more times there than I can count. I LOVE that marsh, and I LOVE Maine. Not a huge amount of train traffic in comparison to other states, but the scenery is phenomenal.
If I was in the same spot, I would’ve done the same type of filming. I’ve seen shots similar to it before and I think they’re really cool and makes you think they’re on the tracks until the zoom out (or when the train makes it to the curve).
These videos were filmed anywhere from my hometown, to Andover, Southern New Hampshire, and Southern Maine near Portland. Downeasters currently have a Maximum track speed of 79. Speeds in these videos range from 55 MPH to 80.
@@lufthansaA300 Not correct. The max speed for a P40/P42 is 110MPH. The top speed on the NPCU (Cabbage car) is 100MPH and the coaches are rated for 125MPH. This line this train runs on is 79MPH max due to lack of cab signals.
As people get their shots and recover from Trump's America . There will be a surge in travel again. Plus that direct connection with Inland Cities to NY will help too.
Around 7:10: Wow! An entire train of historic streamliner coaches and observation cars! Beautiful! Gorgeous countryside, too.
Used to be a frequent rider on the downeaster. Never truely appreciated how fast babies where really going until now.
The F40PH engine was/is my favorite. Thanks for all these video captures.
You’re welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed it! It means a lot when people enjoy what I produce for the public

Even the Christmas Wreath on the locomotive!!!

0:27 was the best one. (Engine 1 lol). Love those K5LAs!
Amtrak is a favorite of mine. Nice video. Cheers from BDW Trains
I know that no other stretch of PanAm track is this good! Great video!
I think that it is awesome that Amtrak still uses an F40PH in the old phase III paint scheme at 0:09
Never fanned the Downeaster. Nice.
man your crazy for getting so close some of those times
That’s what I did too🤣 it’s scary but the adrenaline is amazing at the same time!
6:10 only 1 car???

Bahut hi sundar video Brother mai India Chandigarh se dekh raha hun India Chandigarh se
Good to see you again.
Best part was the F40 leading
It looks like you got some shots around Scarborough, ME. I recognize the marshes.
I’ve shot more times there than I can count. I LOVE that marsh, and I LOVE Maine.

October 21 2017
Amtrak trains going down Easter
1:21 i thought Amtrak was in a diamond
Yeah the joints in the rail there were quite big!
I’m starting to think how did the Acela reach 186 before? Because I had a radar and I saw it on other channels and it was on the corridor
its jxy Amtrak Acela’s can go fast, but they cannot hit 186 MPH.
The max speed is 150 wich is not like tgv but it is fast
When Sophia turns 10 she will be part of the amtrak
Where was this filmed, how fast were they going, and lastly what is the top speed on these trains

The top speed of theses trains are 103 or 110

MassDotFan1062 Productions (the last clip on the fast NEC video with the Amtrak MBTA meet lol)
Trinity Court Studios oh lol
Fasties :)
Why were there sleeping cars on a corridor train? That type of car was only supposed to be used on long distance trains that go into New York City.
It was an Amtrak/Pan Am Railways OCS special up to Maine.
I asked the same qushen
being that close to the tracks as I see sometimes is very dangerous.. I am not being a karen.. I am concerned for your safety :)
2:45😳😳😳😳
2:49😅😅😅😅
100th like!
Poor MBTA... Amtrak always wins
If you put the video in 2x speed, the amtraks are really fast!

Surge of travel? You like Biden American now?
