- Zebrałem i zmontowałem zwiastuny wszystkich kinowych filmów Star Trek, które pojawiły się w ciągu 34 lat - filmik ten traktuję jako coś sentymentalnego. Nie każdy lubi ten content. Niewiele osób wie, ale seria bardzo wpłynęła na nasz obecny świat. Dzisiejsze telefony komórkowe to komunikatory z serii sprzed ponad 45 lat, drzwi przesuwane, pojęcie teleportacji, plecaki odrzutowe dla astronautów, kasety (tak nazwano je w serialu) lecz przypominają dzisiejsze karty pamięci lub dyski SSD, hologramy. Wpływ na życie społeczne: wielonarodowościowa/wielorasowa załoga Japończyk, Rosjanin, Szkot, Nubijka (lub Kenijka). Pierwszy raz w historii kina biały mężczyzna pocałował czarnoskórą kobietę (a pamiętajmy że była to druga połowa lat 60tych!). Wpływ na medycynę: twórcy tomografu oraz usg byli fanami serii Star Trek... i wiele innych.

I love how they put literally half of Shatner's screentime from Generations in the trailer to make it look like Kirk was a bigger part of the movie.
Is it just me that thinks The Motion Picture is the most underrated Star Trek film? Like seriously, it’s a really good film. It may be slow and without much action, but it has great dialogue, scenery, and story.
It has exceptional music, as well. It's Jerry Goldsmith's best work.
TMP is the one that gets a little better on every viewing.

they started shooting without a complete script and it showed, still enjoyed it though.
It was great science fiction, not so good Star Trek.
Always thought the trailer for VI was the best of the bunch. I remember it being heavily anticipated at the time of its release, since V disappointed so many fans. Prior to V's release, I remember everyone enjoying the trailer, especially when Scotty knocks himself on the head on the bulkhead.. "I know this ship like the back of my hand". Audiences were clapping in a packed theatre about to watch "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". Really was the good old days!!
Why was 5 so bad ? What were people expecting back then ?

V has really weak special effects and some... odd design and story decisions. But it also has arguably the best interactions between Kirk, Spock and Bones out of all the movies and I like that they're together for the whole film. It's by no means the best, but I much prefer it to shit like JJ-Trek or STD.
I remember people screaming when "Kirk" was shot, because most of what we knew from Star Trek VI was kept under wraps and what fans did know was this was the last movie with the cast of the original series therefore, it was feared someone would die. To see that shot with Kirk disintegrating must have played heavy with fans already fearing the worst. I never saw the movie in theaters, my dad rented it the next summer.
Interesting that bits of James Horner's Star Trek II score keep showing up. Not that I can blame them for using it so much - it's by far my favorite Trek theme.
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier is a brilliant movie 🎬!

I actually really like it. If you study the backstory of the movie and its production, you get a sense of appreciation for what we got
It was great watching this, to see the evolution of trailers and the Trek journey.
Y'know what'd be awesome? To see the films in theater again. Like, to have that 'experience' is something I would MAKE the time to go do.
I agree ! Any big movie complex should have a, perhaps small, cinema where they would only show the great old classics.
A decade ago in my area we had a nice old time theater that had a Trek marathon and the price of admission was based what film was playing . Only hard core fans would sit thru six films .
And now 3 years on and people just want ANY film to see in the theatre!
Such a shame they included the Enterprise's destruction in the Search for Spock trailer. It would have had a lot more impact if it had been kept a secret.

The worst part is the marketing department at Paramount was at fault. Harve Bennett was furious when he saw the trailer.
I love how old trailers had to have some dude with a deep voice at the beginning explaining to us what the movie is about. "A strange force has entered the galaxy!" It sure has buddy

In hindsight, First Contact is where they should have stopped.

I like Insurrection. It's nowhere near the best, but it's a helluva lot better than Generations.

I loved this and was relieved that the trailer for Star Trek Beyond was not included... that would have spoiled the enjoyment.

Now is 54 aniversety of star trek and we still don't have some good movie or series of like good old star trek.
A new series based on the STAR TREK universe was being planned in the mid70s that would be more about The Federation instead of the Starship Enterprise . It got shelved once STAR WARS came out .
Wow. They managed to make the boring Star Trek: The Motion Picture actually look epic in that trailer.
It's about money at the end of the day. I would love to have seen more of TNG crew on the big screen, but I'm not the one gambling millions on the decision. Sucks, but what can you do.
No interest in a Capt. Janeway movie, I agree with that decision. I enjoyed parts of the Voyager TV series, but found it lacking compared to TNG. Just my opinion.
The ratings on both DS9 and Voyager pretty much did in the idea of doing expensive motion pictures with those casts... Sorry!
TNG? It kind of exhausted itself after 7 years of continuous episodes and movies that were basically extended TV episodes. They were half-decent, half-meh. Definitely more intelligent than what we've gotten from JJ and his buddies.
The TOS movies... That was like going to see old friends. It was a family experience.... I never really got that sense as much from TNG and its spin-offs.
equenoxe86 on one hand, I agree. On the other hand, I also agree with their decision to stop making movies. If they hadn't stopped, we might not have three awesome rebooted Star Trek films plus a new series in development.

I agree completely. Every new TOS trailer got me immediately excited. I couldn't wait to go on another voyage and adventure with those guys.
TNG series and movies were generally well done, well acted, but it all never quite gelled for me. The heart was never quite there. Which is strange because the cast has such incredible chemistry and heart when you see them interact together at cons and such. If only that could have transferred to the screen.
.....and don't get me started on the reboot movies. I don't have it in for the cast, they do a nice job and are clearly trying their best... but almost every minute of those movies are dark, cold, and crassly commercial. It feels more like a mix of Aliens and Man of Steel rather than ST.

That Star Trek V trailer is very weird. Most of the space shots of the Enterprise and Bird of Prey are from Star Trek III. And the Reliant's theme from Star Trek II pops up.

The TMP trailer narrated by Orson Wells was better, especially when he had to say Robert Wise's name and you could tell he absolutely hated Robert Wise's guts because of some past falling out that they'd had. Also, just how much of the plot were they looking to give away in the Star Trek IV and Start Trek V trailers?

@@definitely_notme4112 Well its nice you responded, especially a year later lol. I don't really disagree with your assessment but did like Beyond a lot. Still a lot of issues with the writing of the film (like all the Kelvin movies) but felt the most like Star Trek at least.
When it comes to the TV shows, I prefer Next Generation over the original series, but when it comes to the movies, I prefer the first six with the original cast over the NG ones. Although First Contact was fantastic.
Hope there will be a new star trek coming soon.

While I liked all of the movies! Nemesis was essentially just Wrath of Khan the TNG version. Shinzon much like Khan was looking to kill Picard, Data sacrificed himself much like Spock! I still enjoyed it though!
