Hey bud I have a question, if you put the cart in jacks can you run a cart without batteries? The reason why I am asking is to test the golf cart before you spend money getting batteries and find out that was not the problem I am a tech myself not for this gem carts but I do understand a couple things, so if a plug 72 volts wire, that's should make this cart go, but I asking you since you are a tech for . Thx
Hi. my batteries are too low (2014 GEM E4) to be recharged by the onboard system and I have tried the approach recommended by GEM -- quick charging each battery for 10 - 20 minutes, then plugging in the on-board charger. What position does the master switch need to be in when quick charging and then on-board charger? Thank you!
Hi I have a gem at 2013 for 2 persons and I have a few issues with it 1 when I turn on the hazard lights start to dime instrument panel same the turn signal light 2 the front and rear light don’t wort 3 when I try tu use after I accelerate for 30 seconds the turtle sign shows up recently we replace the batteries I thought that was the problem but still the problem with the new batteries Please anyone can help me on that I really appreciate it Thank best regards
The gem has a 72v to 12v dc converter, remove the the dash panel and use a mulitmeter to test volts in and volts out. check all wires in and out.. do a continuity test from lights to the dc converter
-04 code this means the controller believe that the brake is on and has locked out the main relay. This occurs to prevent the GEM from being driven with the brake on. There is a small switch mounted to the park brake handle that reads whether or not the brake is on.
Great information. Thanks! I've heard a lot about those quick chargers. But yeah, very pricey.

I need to know what color the bar should be once it's charged I can't find any pictures of the lit up dashboard. Should it have yellow lines or green?
