Flogging your product is all well and good. However, what a lot of people want to know, which you dont share btw. Once you have invested into say 2 lithium 100amp bat you don't share the way they should be connected. Is this because you dont like sharing info with us but rather than get us to buy stuff from you and then you share info?

      Good morning Steve,
We openly share the information throughout the BMPRO website in the Lithium Knowledge Centre and on UA-cam, we are here to help educate the customer with the correct information. Please see the links below.

I have a e-bike battery it’s lithium ion it has 36 cells in it they’re packed in groups of six I believe one of the groups of six got disconnected, the weld connection broke so that group of six is lower voltage than the rest now the entire thing won't charge can I simply just re-weld it to the rest of them and charge it back up to normal or do I have to take them out separately to charge them up fully to match and then reconnect them??

Are your new Zeal lithium batteries designed/made in Aus?

    • @BMPROau

Both Invicta and Zeal batteries are made in China, however, unlike many other brands, they are tested in Australia. Invita is also certified both on the cell and the battery level.

    Hi David,
I'm trying to find a solution for charging and discharging two lithium banks (both at 12v) but they have different amps (1st is 104ah and 2nd is 210ah) and different brands and capacities.
I have these two banks in my RV and currently, I have some devices attached to bank 1, and other devices attached to bank 2, with two controllers and 2 solar panels per bank.
I'm trying to find a way where I can discharge the two banks at the same time. Some people suggested me to use a diod at the discharge circuit. Any ideas?

I was about to buy the Invicta 36v100BT today but held off as i can't find a invicta 36 volt lIFeSo4 charger to match. Would like a high amp output one if that is okay.? Thanks

As we don't stock these models, we won't be able to comment on the suitable chargers. Please contact Sealed Performance Batteries, suppliers of these models.

Thanks David for your videos which I can learn a lot. I'm your subscriber no 999.
If I need for a Go-Ped electric scooter two 24V lithium batteries (based on 3.7 cells), both are about 12AH and I wanna put them both in parallel I'd like to know if your explanations are valid on my configuration.
My issue is to get twice as the maximum current and peak current because the torque I need, and its peak current when going up in a hill, will be not handled with only one battery.
Do I need a BMS which can handle both batteries together (is there a device like this?), or just putting them in parallel is enough?

Hi Jorge, thank you for being our subscriber 999! The answer depends on the brand of the battery so we recommend you to get in touch either with the battery manufacturer or with an electric scooter company. Sorry could not assist you with this enquiry - our expertise is in the RV industry.

You are not getting into how to parallel the batteries so they are balanced.

    • @BMPROau
      @BMPROau  2 роки тому

It is always worth speaking with the battery manufacturer as they may have different balancing requirements. The information below is from SPB Batteries:
      www.sealedperformance.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Invicta-Booklet-A6.pdf
      Parallel Configuration
      1. Ensure all batteries to be in the parallel configuration have been fully
      charged individually by matched chargers.
      2. Ensure OCV of each battery is less than
100A), connect the batteries in the above (Fig 1) configuration. Ensure all
connecting cables lengths are of the same length.
      5. Be careful not reverse connect the Positive and Negative.
      6. Ensure correct charge voltage and current is utilised for configuration.
      7. It is absolutely prohibited to series a paralleled configuration.
      8. Once in Parallel configuration ensure a full charge is completed a min of
      every 3 months
      10. Once in Parallel configuration, the system must be charged and discharged
as a system. If one batteries needs to be replaced, the whole system will
      require replacing

@@BMPROau Hi, From what I have read, seen and discussed you should not connect your batteries in parallel the way your link shows. It showing 4 batteries all connected and the NEG is coming off the right side of the bank and the POS off the left side. Now the two inner batteries will not see or share the full load, they might see 80 to 90%. If these were AGMs, not a problem. But now the batteries are not at the same voltage and Lithium are a lot more sensitive to this.
In my case, the distributor suggested for my three batteries. To connect all three to a POS and NEG buss bar. So using both POS and NEG cables with the same size from each battery to a bass bar. From that point than connect my load cables. Now each battery will evenly share the load.

@@paulainc you're confusing balancing with series/ parallel charging you balance the batteries by connecting + to + - to - so that they all even out but then when say charging a 4s 16.8v pack you connect the + from one end and the - from the other end this treats the pack like 1 big cell

Jcar (shop) sell a 100ah lithium battery, but specs say it will only run max 100amp for 5 seconds. i run a microwave on a 1500watt inverter which while running the microwave draws 103amp from my sealed battery, will this lithium batter run my microwave at 103amp for 5-8 Mins at a time. usual cooking time

    • @BMPROau
      @BMPROau  3 роки тому +1

Hi Gaz, you need a lithium battery with the BMS that will be rated at 100Ah continuous or otherwise you will be putting it under the constant strain.
