Fun fact: Butt Stallion isn't a character that Tiny Tina just made up for her Bunkers & Badasses game. She's an actual, legit living character in the Borderlands universe. She's a diamond pony that Handsome Jack (the villain of BL2) had as pet to show people how rich he is
"I'm trying to think of a name for this diamond pony I got. I was gonna name it Piss-for-Brains in honor of you but that just feels.....immature. Hey, maybe....Butt Stallion? Eh, I'll think some more and let'cha know. Later kiddo." Not an exact quote but that's the paraphrase of one of Handsome Jack's early lines in BL 2. He's such a fun villain.
Cooler thing about the poking fun at D&D. Company named Nerdvana Games saw how much people like the Tiny Tina DLC for Borderlands 2. So they contacted Gearbox and developed a actual REAL LIFE version of Bunkers and Baddasses. I actually bought the Collectors Edition which includes minis for all the Borderlands PCs from BL1&2, as well as some other cool things. Also the Book and box have notes and scribbles from Tiny Tina all over it, like the back of the box saying "This is Tiny Tinas copy so dont steal it unless you want to know what a grenade tastes like". Only thing to make it better is I need to find a Convention that Ashley Burch is at so she can sign my copy.
Borderlands has so much good things to react to. Also Tiny Tinas VA is Ashly Burch, for context, her brother is a distinct video game writer, (just checked) he has done work for League of Legend universe, was a writer for Borderlands 2, and how his sister got the role for Tiny Tina. She's also the main VA in small game called Horizon Zero Dawn (and Forbiden West) (yes she is Alloy), as well as a character in Vox Machina and a TONS more of video games. She is kind of a big deal and I love her work.

Will Arnett. Nice! Feel like he is an underutilized comedic talent. He was everywhere for awhile and then has fallen off or maybe on a show we just don’t watch 😂 Another couch co-op has bumped this one up on our list because we enjoy the humor and it looks like a fun rpg D&D game. Like Dragon Age for drunks and potheads 😛🥂🍾😁
Everything about this game is awesome in every way, from making you laugh, to surprising you, (We're looking at you, Targ), to slamming you right in the feels so hard you blink away the tears. I mean other than the story, and the fact there are no side quests I regret doing, the game play itself is Borderlands through and through. The main story is so well written and powerful.
Would love to see you guys play the first few missions, the dialog in the game is hilarious 😂 Will Arnett as the villain is so good. Personally played all the way through and it's a fun romp! 💥
Tiny Tina has a very sad back story and is a favorite from Borderlands 2 additionally Butt Stallion first appears in that game as well ...there was a bunker and badasses DLC for Borderlands 2 and was so popular it spawned this game...This game also has many deep RPG tabletop references....Did I detect that Beth said she has played D&D before?...if that is the case she just got way cooler (which when I was a kid would be inverse of what people would think of that).
Haha, Bethany actually hasn’t played before but she is familiar with it from my brother talking about it and he is our games master. Always has fun new board games and what not for us to play when we visit him in San Diego 😂 We actually have a Borderlands 2 intro coming up in a couple weeks that we just watched and were pleasantly surprised to see Princess Butt Stallion again 🤣😁😍
I actually just started playing this game And I love it, it’s kind of a game were you battle mythical enemies to collect weapons to progress through the storyline. The storyline is ok but the actual gameplay is AMAZING, I would definitely recommend trying it out if you think it’s something you’d be into. Partially open world FPS with some aspects of a RPG
Valentine is Andy Samberg Fret is Wanda Sykes Dragon Lord is Will Arnet and Tiny Tina is Ashley Burch who's the voice actress behind Aloy in Horizon Zero Dawn, Cassie Cage in Mortal Kombat 10, and Kate Bishop in Avengers
You should react to some black ops zombies stuff. I haven't been watching for a while but it is always nice to come back to this channel every now and then. Much love ✌❤
Well I do what to play this game, fun note about it is that it's roots come from an expansion from Boaderland 2 in with Tiny Tina must come to grips with the death of a friend. So have a great day and Stay Safe.
To be fair, tiny tina's story is a horror story in itself, then she get's free and let's her insanity out on the group that did that, she's a sadist's best teacher when it comes to dealing with bandits.
Gameplay is the same as Borderlands, just with magic and fantasy weapons, with some guns in there. Queen Buttstallion has always been in this universe, making her debut in Borderlands 2 where Handsome Jack gets a diamond unicorn and names it Butt Stallion after the protagonist. I'm sure you recognize that Ashly Burch is amazing, as she was Cassie Cage in MKX, Chloe Price in Life is Strange, Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn, and tons more, she's great all around.
I actually just baught the game a couple days ago and sofar i dig it. It's a looter shoooter set in a DnD world with spells and powers and quirky mechanics
Andy sanberg is valentine. Will arnet is the dragon lord. And wanda sykes is frette. I think you guys should play this game. Its sooo fucking good, ive been having a blast. Who wouldve thought a dlc in borderlands 2 would be so popular that it would get its own spinoff game?
if u like DnD, random unexpected styles of humor, 4th wall breaks, and just expecting one thing only for something else to happen then u will have fun with this
If you enjoy the humor in that I recommend you try Tales from the Borderlands. Its a 5 episode game based in the same universe and I think you guys will love it
I just beat the main storyline and man is it a great game. It’s story, atmosphere, characters, even the twists was great I hope you guys do a play through on your gaming channel.
It was recently added to our gaming list once we found out it was couch co-op although a little bummed it is more fps than rpg like the intro would have you to believe (if you knew practically nothing about the game or Borderlands going into it like us 🤗)
Borderlands humor is not for everyone and sometimes the humor can get a little annoying it's not for everyone but I like it and I'm just happy wonderlands story isn't even closey as bad as borderlands 3 was. (Sorry for bad english)
Id say the game is more Looter Shooter than what would be described as DnD type game, it does have the sort of Role playing aspect but mainly its and First person shooter and you get weapons (guns and Melee weapons likes swords/hammers/scythes) and gear (accessories and Armor that give buffs to the player) from either defeating enemies like random ones or bosses, there are also chests and shops that sell them as well with all the gear being divided by rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary. Also color coded in the same order, White, Green, Blue, Purple, and Orange/Yellow). You go around on sort of a Linear storyline with options to do Side missions that are throughout the world which Id suggest if you plan on playing to do them cause a lot of the time they might unlock a certain part of an area or have a new boss/miniboss to fight with Unique gear (gear that contain red text in the description of the it while usually have an effect only that piece of gear can have, there are duplicates of the gear that can be found in shops or even dropped from enemies/chests that contain the same red text) and while progressing through the story you level up and are able to go down a skill tree of whichever class you chose to play (if I'm correct there are 6 currently with eventually being able to duel class and have 2 classes mashed into one), with that there are also some side objectives or challenges that aren't required to do but will give you bonuses like more luck on gear drops, more HP, Faster Reloading of guns, and more. They did add in a better Melee system to this game and while Melee builds have been a thing since Borderlands 1 they really made Melee more of a viable build compared to other games in my opinion (along with FINALLY adding in Melee weapons which I've been waiting for). Lastly the game definitely keeps its humor like shown in the Intro, its jam packed with it. My comment is definitely a bit vague about some things so if anything Id recommend looking at a review of the game or others that have commented about it as well if you'd have any other questions!
played the game and its was very fun but if you play this game in multiplayer you must search the enemies (there are no so many enemies like the trailer shows)
I got the game day one solely for Tina's random and crazy personality. The game and dialog is pretty enjoyable. However, the game launched with a lot of bugs (which I guess is normal with games these days). They've since been resolved from what I hear but by then, Elden Ring was out, so...guess which took priority. I want to go back to it but there are just too many other things to play at the moment so Wonderlands is on the backlog for me now.
Can't wait to play this game after meeting Tina in Borderlands 2. But since I'm still in the middle of Borderlands 2 and there is 2 big sequels ahead, its gonna take awhile 😁
If you want to play this game ESPECIALLY in split-screen I recommend waiting awhile for some patches. Single player and online should be ok but the game is very rough to play in split-screen at the moment.
I would say you need to familiarize yourselves with the relationships Tiny Tina has with previous Borderlands characters so the emotional beats hit for you. The gameplay is like any other FPS, but some of the guns have a fantasy look to them with a crossbow attachment on the barrel which I find cool. Each gun manufacturer has its own gimmick which can be fun. I enjoyed it for what it was & you may too
Normally I always watch your videos there is a section that I love which is the apex legends section only I would enjoy them much more if I understood them and my original language is Spanish but your videos always entertain me I hope that one day they will be very successful here on UA-cam continue like this :D
Since you don’t know anything from the actual Borderlands games, this would be a great first game to start playing. Multiplayer would be perfect for you two as you could play together on the same screen or two different screens if you have two consoles. The D&D inspiration is heavily present throughout with characters casually shouting catchphrases meant for the fans of D&D, but it is combined with the fast paced gameplay and simple storytelling from all the previous Borderlands games that makes it easy to pick up and understand. I would love to see you two role play during this game and would especially love to watch you create your characters. Borderlands 2 will always be my favorite but the change in the formula has given this game a fresh feeling I definitely appreciate. I don’t know if you post your gaming sessions here on UA-cam or on Patreon or if it’s twitch exclusive but I want to be prepared if you treat us with this experience. It’s a fun game you don’t need any background for even though there are references and characters from the actual Borderlands games sprinkled throughout the main Wonderlands story. It’s mostly a reimagining of the world of Borderlands as if it were a D&D game, and that’s all you need to know.
We are starting to do let’s play series here on UA-cam. Our livestreams are available on playlists here and we stream on UA-cam on Fridays at 9pm pst. Thanks for giving us more info on Tiny Tina’s! This looks like one we would enjoy playing together 🙂
So borderlands 1 doesn't really have a story. It's a big long joke. It's like the episode of South Park Towlie where the all this crazy stuff is happening around the boys and they're roped into it, but they keep saying they don't care they just want their video game back. 2 is when a story started coming around. It does tie in characters from the first game, but like you don't NEED to know them. So with Tiny Tina's Wonderland land you don't need to play 2 or its DLC Assualt on Dragon Keep which is the first DnD based thing in Borderlands, but it does put a lot of Wonderlands into perspective. The Borderlands series also doesn't really do cutscenes so it's not like you can just watch either sadly. Just boss/character intos and maybe a moment or 2 in game. Wonderlands is fantastic though. It's not that long for compared to the other 4 games, but 3 was a mess with bugs on release. Gameplay of 3 really good. Story is passable, a lot of people bitch that it's world ending terrible, but the story of the series has never been note worthy. 2 was just carried by Handsome Jack, who's performance is fantastic, but it's largely reliant on humor and of course humor is subjective. What created Butt Stallion in 2 was actually an ad lib by the actor. His most memorable lines were mainly improv and when he wasn't allowed to do that for the Pre-Sequel people didn't respond as well to him. So in short writing is not Borderlands highlight, but Wonderlands does stand above with the great gamplay of 3. My Brother and I have probably put more time into Borderlands than any other series we love em. We still go through all of them 2-3 times a year and are playing Wonderlands together now. Highly recommend.
So is the couch co-op buggy in this game currently? Someone said it was glitchy right now and needed a patch? 🤔 It’s all good though because it’s gonna take us a bit to play the game since Halo 2 is next and then we are going to move on to a “your decisions matter” type of game.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames 3s couch co-op had major issues. Idk about wonderlands I haven't tried. But Wonderlands is having online connection issues which is on their end with their whole SHIFT online nonsense. Games first major patch is today though so I could be fix. If you're gonna play a chooses game 100% Wolf Among Us. Do it.... doitdoitdoit😁

I just got my hands on this game and I'm in love with it. If you want to play this game ESPECIALLY in split-screen I recommend waiting awhile for some patches. Single player and online should be ok but the game is very rough to play in split-screen at the moment.
We would want to play split screen. Hopefully they fix it up soon enough. We are going to play Halo 2 next on the channel so we got time for sure 😊
I think you should react to all handsome Jack moments in bl2. It kinda follows the story so you can follow it too!
Have heard his character is one of the best 🤩😀
Great reaction video! You should check out the borderlands 2 trailers and intro, it's the best game of the series!
We do plan to check out some Borderlands 2 in the future 🙂
So World of Warcraft dropped a new cinematic trailer for the next expansion Dragonflight yesterday, any plans on watching it? :)
Yup. Big plans 🥳🥳🍾🥂😁
I enjoyed it for what it was & you may too
Thanks for the tip. So we won’t start with this game and will try out other Borderland games first 🙂
Normally I always watch your videos there is a section that I love which is the apex legends section only I would enjoy them much more if I understood them and my original language is Spanish but your videos always entertain me I hope that one day they will be very successful here on UA-cam continue like this :D
Glad you are enjoying the videos. We wish there was an easier way to have it so that our videos could be translated into other languages 🤗
it's basically dungeons and dragons
🤗
Nice, y'all should check out more Borderlands stuff, great game it is.
Plan to check out more. It just has a ton of copyrighted music in their stuff 😛
Something no one else has mentioned: Bunkers & Badassess isn't just in the Borderlands universe. It's a fully realized published TTRPG in our reality as well.
Love it 😎🤟
then you get to create your own character

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames heck yeah
I just got my hands on this game and I'm in love with it. I seen a class I would enjoy playing that feels very similar to Vladimir from League of Legends so I made a female character, based it off him with this class, and named her Vladimira. (Awesome, I know right? Stop, you're gonna make me blush) But I am loving every single second of this game!
Glad you are enjoying the game so much! It looks like a lot of fun and we are interested in eventually checking it out ourselves 😀
