I couldn't be happier with the signing of Gareth for the new Jurassic Park movie, watching his movies he seems to be the ideal person to bring the dinosaurs a little closer to the greatness of Spielberg's original JP, I can't wait to see what that Gareth is going to bring us to the cinemas next year!
I saw that! Hoping he does good! Those new World films have been horrible, so hopefully he can make them a little better.
yeah ,he’s definitely the type of person to make a good suspenseful thrilling Jurassic movie !
This guy will give us the best Jurassic Park Movie since 1993.
I PRAY
Gareth Edwards is THE Creator.
HE IS!
September cannot come soon enough.
I'll be hanging off EVERY BIT of news about him and this film.
Right?! Each day hurts more and more because I am reminded it is not September 29th!
Awesome video!
Thank you!
I have been a fan of Gareth Edwards ever since the release of Godzilla 2014. as a matter of fact, I just made a very similar video on him for a university assignment detailing his profile as an author. for the longest time I thought his director's footprint was just going to go unnoticed, until i saw your video. I'm really glad that other people have noticed his talents! also, great video! you got a lot of details that I couldn't find.
Another young creator on UA-cam!? Well done. Go on like this. Everything looks and sounds very professional. Greetings from Sicily, Italy.

Thank you!

Appreciate it. Wanted to mix it up from my usual.
One thing you forgot to mention in your Godzilla 2014 'recap' is that Gareth Edwards used the Spielberg technique, where he hides the monsters until the final act. Everything leading up to the final act is just pure tension and build up. The story points to Godzilla 2014 are also kinda similar to Jaws :)
Perfect for his new Jurassic soft reboot film!
Edwards created a course in VFX after (?) Monsters came out, demonstrating his techniques in VFX.
He has the best eye of any working director, hands down. I hope he's taken the last few years to nail down story telling techniques in filmmaking; his biggest weakness. I can't wait for The Creator.
Gareth talks sensibly and proves you don't need a video village and a crew of 30 milling about to make an exciting flick.
Amen. He’s a very humble dude
He’s working in 4 movies but he was most focus in The creator
IMHO Rogue One is THE best Star Wars movie spin off period ‼
Now I have to watch The Creator.
Did you know he is set to direct Jurrasic World 4.
Yep. Interested to see how it turns out.
Gareth Edwards is a piece of sentient concept art: no heart, no humanity. What a waste of a budget he is
you do not like fun
In June 2016, Lucasfilm hired the Tony Gilroy to rework Rogue One: A Star Wars Story after the studio was unsatisfied by the state of director Gareth Edwards’ movie. By August, he was taking a leading role in postproduction and oversaw reshoots to fix a few issues, including the film’s ending. Gilroy ultimately was paid millions for his work, and many consider him the film’s ghost director. That's an extract of an articule by the Hollywood Reporter, and that's one of the reasons for absence and lack of projects for Edwards besides a lot of the criticism for the problems you mentioned un Godzilla. I consider Edwards an inspiration for filmmakers but success is the only true measure in any business as in Hollywood. He needs to land a hit with The Creator, because Tony had the opportunity to make Andor because of what happened with Rogue One, and that show was so boring and numbers of viewers watching it don't lie, it suffered from the lack of action and style Edwards brings, but he admitted thar he doesn't like to write so that's been the issue on all of his projects, he a visual artist, but a great director need to be a mainly a great storyteller.
your word is bullsht, Andor is one of the greatest star wars show
@@thezplayer3002 For me and a lot of people is not, the numbers sometimes don't lie. If you like it that's ok but please don't insult me. I'm just stating facts. Now that The Creator got it's premier sadly it didn't connect with the regular audiences neither, even when it's a very well done sci fi movie, it's not commercial enough, my hope is that people discover it in the long run like a lot of classics that went from the dame route.
You clearly never saw his After Effects tutorial .. he was famous before he was famous lol .. just only in the VFX circles :)
Hes kinda like a more studio friendly neil blompkamp .
Ripping off AKIRA----------------- completely, for the creator, is LAMEEEEEEEEEEE
not ripping off, the movie is a tribute to many movies he grew up with
