I have tried Kenyan tea #ketepaKenya widely available here in North American stores with upscale price, really awesome tea. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video
Thank you for this video tea gave me and my siblings a life. My father was a factory worker 1982-2019 even though we don’t own a tea farm he did manage to educate us and that’s all we needed in life and will forever be grateful.
This reminds me that actually Kenya is a paradise in itself. We are have the best coffee in the world. We natural resources and minerals .I know one day God will bless us with a good govt cuz we ain't supposed to be a developing country
@@bellaolum9768 We the people are the greatest resources. For the minerals,we just need proper investments in prospecting and explorations. Mineral mapping files are gathering dust in beaureucrats' offices
At last, you've visited a Kenyan tea plantation, the evergreen produce that is Kenya's delight! Tea makes humanity equal,it's taken in palaces and in refugee camps. Now you know Hakuna Matata whenever and wherever there's Chai
That house is so cool. Thanks for finally visiting my home region. I spent my childhood in a place like that at the foot of Mt. Kenya near Meru town. It's to this day my favourite place in Kenya. I always go back to clear my head and gain perspective from the hustle of the city.
This is home. I practically grew up not far from here. Our tea has actually been processed in this factory when the factory near our farm fills up!! Thank you for this.
How did I miss this? I have driven by this area so many times over the years but have never stayed here. The house was enchanting!!! I already love Kenyan tea but have a brand new appreciation for it. So much work goes into making sure it is perfect! This video was informative, fun, and the view of Mt. Kenya was wonderful!!! Thanks for making this great video!!!!
Hahaha Love you Guys, Best Tea you can get. I Like Kiru Tea Factory Tea, I gave some tea bags to my UK friends and their response is always, "The best tea i have ever tasted".
I have resisted from making comments but, you guys brought some fond memories back. I spent a few years on the other side of Mt. Kenya schooling and tea picking was one hell of an experience I will never forget. Thanks.
After watching your first video that you made in a Nairobian restaurant made on a round roof top I knew am here to stay,it feels awesome to see the good side of Kenya.
Thank you Dave and Tracey for your efforts of showing the beauty of my country to the World. For a long time we've had people who come to Kenya with aim of showing how poor we are - which is not the whole truth.
Tracey, you were so close to the coffee farms too...don't let them make you feel guilty of having coffee in the middle of a tea farm. I'm happy to see my home town, Karatina, featured in your videos.
The large tea farms in the Rift Valley use machines to pluck tea leaves, so they are not so careful. The smaller plantations are cautious to be pick the bud and two leaves because they have best quality chemical compounds. They are used to blend and improve quality of large plantation teas. The area looks like Karatina, which comes from the word "quarantine", but Kikuyu tongues couldn't have such a tongue twister. When the British government confiscated land in Nyeri to give to the settlers, Kikuyu cattle that had been confiscated was held there in quarantine, before being given to the army.
There's a wonderful funny book called "no picnic on mount Kenya" about Italian p.o.w.s who had been held at the foot of mount kenya for ages before they realised it was there. That mountain is so capricious!
@Vansah Swift was the video about tea production by region in Kenya?I thought the content producer wanted to demonstrate on an experience of living in a tea farm where processing is done on the same facility.
Thank guys for visiting my home County. I would love to suggest that you people visit VALENTINE GROWERS LIMITED in Kiambaa in Kiambu, a few kilometers from Nairobi( It is within the metropolitan area, so I guess there is no cessation of movement around that area) It is the best tropical rose farm in Kenya.
AMAZING! I work in the tea industry and Ndima tea factory are one of our esteemed clients! You two are awesome...I love the way you're so effortlessly and beautifully showcasing Kenya.
I watched this while drinking my tea. The house is wonderful and the place on the roof, perfect. The tea trees look more beautiful when they are closer. Nice cooking. Lovely video, interesting footage.
So glad you got to visit a tea plantation. I had once suggested Kericho (that's the major tea cultivation part of Kenya) but it is much farther from Nairobi so at least this area is much closer to the capital.
