Hey Jerry, you can certainly add more compute nodes + a load balancer to scale horizontally to meet more customer traffic. Alternatively, you can also choose to upgrade the power of your existing compute nodes. Either way, Lightsail offers mechanisms so your website can scale as your customer base grows. You can potentially put your wordpress setup in a docker container and have a database hosting your content separately. However this is a lot of work to setup and maintain. I like lightsail because it simplifies the approach and lets you worry more about your website content instead of configuration/scaling. Hope this helps, Daniel
If you want to be able to auto scale your site to meet demand you should do a full AWS production deployment. You'd need to include the following in your architecture: Application load balancer, auto scaling group, RDS (for a scalable database), and Amazon EFS (for a scalable file server). Hi Alex, yes this seems to be the case. You can add horizontal scaling I believe up to 5 instances. However vertical scaling seems to be a user-initiated action and not possible from cloudwatch alarms. Hope this helps.
If I registered a domain, can I rename it afterwords if the new name is available?
Hi Khaled, unfortunately you can't. You would need to re-register for the new name and pay the associated cost.
Hi, how do you remove the bitnami logo at the bottom right corner?
Hi Nazim, you can remove the logo by following this post: lightsail.aws.amazon.com/ls/docs/en_us/articles/amazon-lightsail-remove-bitnami-banner
Hope this helps. Let me know if it doesn't work.
@@BeABetterDev thank you
Great work, can you share one with SSL and email as well.
Hi Jasu,
I'll work on adding a new video for SSL. In the meantime, here's how to set up Email: ua-cam.com/video/g3nDQ0-jxSU/v-deo.html

How can I change http to https
In amazon ligshtsail, is it unlimited website?
Hi Shahoney,
Lightsail instance supports unlimited amount of users accessing your website (as long as your lightsail instance can handle the load). You can improve its performance by upgrading the hardware type through the AWS console.
@@BeABetterDev thanks! btw, i followed everything u have demonstrated in the video. What about the CNAME or DNS? should i still fix that after this? or no need?
