- The Young and the Restless Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) sits down with Michael Fairman for part two of his Michael Channel interview on his new memoir, "I'll Be Damned." Eric talks about how it came to pass that he ended up staying longer than anticipated to play the iconic role of Victor Newman, what he thinks of his castmates, sharing stories about the late Jeanne Cooper, his Emmy Broadcast mishap, and he opens up about the one actor who stirred up controversy and trouble for him on the set of the long-running CBS soap opera, and much more.
My dad who died last September at age 86 used to watch Y & R everyday. He watched it for this man. Victor Newman. My dad was hard of hearing and couldn't always hear what the characters were saying. But he watched it anyway. This was a fond memory I will never forget. Miss you dad. 😢💔
Victor Newman is 1 of my favorite characters on any sosp, ever! Eric Braeden is awesome in the role.💕
I've watched Eric (Victor) on The Young and the Restless for years and have just finished reading "I'll Be Damned" ...here's hoping Y&R goes on forever with all the original actors like Eric Braeden & Melody Thomas Scott.

Love this man! Eric Braeden is the Y&R. All of his storylines are epic. No one could ever replace him! I never get tried of seeing him in action. Watched this show since I was a young girl. I only hope & pray he’s stays until he’s actually ready to go. When & if he does, he will sorely missed!
Eric don’t leave the show your role is very important for the whole cast.

We rely on victor as the backbone of the show. I still think about Jeanne Cooper that last scene was heartbreaking.
Yes, I have watched Y&R since Day 1 and Victor Newman and Mrs. Chancellor (Jeannne Cooper) made Y&R what it is. I am glad Y&R has brought back Doug Davidson, Melissa Claire Egan, Michelle Stafford, and Greg Rikaart (having trouble getting used to her again because Gina Tognoni was so good). It is a mistake for Y&R to get rid of their veteran actors. These are the people that we tune in to see every day!

According to past shows victor had one brother why use Adam when he could use his brother or Nick to save Victor ‘s life somehow the story has forgotten that his brother at least one of them showed up when Jack thought his father was Victor’s father for a heritage test so why in the world they want to use Adam and they need to figure out a way they can make and let everyone know that Nick is his adopted son real father not Adam and they definitely can’t let Victor go for they will have no show and I mean No Young and Restless ‼️
