Exactly. A lot of these tougher (aka played with dinky MacBook directional keys) battles I could tell had great music, but it was hard to appreciate them fully in that setting. I thought the same thing for Big Shot and Smart Race. Eh, maybe I'm just bad at Bullet Hells in general...

Everyone else sees things I didn't or maybe makes a choice I didn't, or picks up on a joke or reference. Sweet Cap'n Cakes referencing a Strong Bad email I never would have remembered, but Barry got it.

very heavily considering using this in a TTRPG i'm running in a few sessions when the players get to pilot a giant spaceborne mech bigger than a city against an extradimensional being that's literally consuming all the stars in the galaxy there's even an in-world band that they saved early on that could be playing this :)
update: my players absolutely loved it, they said it was one of the best boss battles they've played in a TTRPG, and this song playing at the start of it definitely contributed to that also the design of the extradimensional being was based off various depictions of biblically-accurate angels, so I want all of you to be imagining a fucking gigantic robot punching one of those and fighting it with an energy sword

Live a Live has inspired toby fox.. this is the second time he referenced a song of it in one of his titles.(megalovania in his halloween hack was originally meant to be megalomania from Live A Live.) Its a great game. And kind of did the choose to kill or not kill way before ut during its ninja chapter. It also inspired chrono trigger.
Everything was made so much better, even though the track is already good! (well except the fast synth staccato but I guess I can't expect a sound like that from a guitar)

The reason might be that it has no build up but instead is fully hype the entire way through, but that's what I love about it
