The USB connector in these are designed to break and they are terrible. In my work place we have to replace a few of these every month, just because people break the connector by accident or by not being careful enough. Luckily we can get them replaced with Dell if they are under warranty. The problem is that the connector is way too long and sticks out far when connected to the laptop/tablet. They should have designed a 90 degree connector on the docking station cable to help with stress relief and make it stick out shorter.

I agree with you, the 90 degree design would help a lot. The connector is long but thin which makes it vulnerable to breakage easily.
