Man I had the GI Joe with the mummy back in the early 1970's. We used to dig holes in the ground and play like were were digging up treasure. Better memories than any video game for sure.
My nephew and I would fish deep creek ever Fourth of July and use all black rooster tails and we would fill the stringer. We would cook the trout on the spot. But we were hiking in from arrowhead side.
Hahahahahahahaha GI JOE...It took me back to the day of being creative and playing ...like making roads in the dirt in the yard and messing around with matchbox and hot wheels...i think my thing was major matt mason with the space station...not sure if the major had a raft for rapids. Boy those were the days when we used our imagination and had way more fun than kids today with silicone screens.
the group kinda split, some lost interest, other new jobs and no time. It happens. The groups going up there do a total and complete turn over about ever 7 years. None of the regulars remain and a complete new group take over. I have see 4 turn overs so far.
Nice... Food looked delicious. Great friends to share the journey with. That place is known for noodling, even if you're not noodling. Good times. Thank you for sharing. Take care Alan.
deep creek ca. I give exact location in the video ant the end of part 2. link in details above as well as at the beginning of this video right here. . thanks for watching
Please don't think I'm being paranoid but lately there's been alot of gang activity in the area . So please be careful in these areas.. Good to see you out and about in good spirits and friends . Sorry to sound negative but there's some really weird stuff going on in those parts lately.
there are many areas along the river, your not allowed, others you need a permit. there are no real signs, so we just did it and took a chance. I am not sure either way. It has all changed again, theres a big fence on the north side now and its open at either end and still no signs???
So sorry to hear about what happened to the rest of your video. Based on this video, it would have been another fantastic one for sure. I hope that you all had as much fun in the parts we missed as you are having in this one. Thanks once again for showing us how the real backpacker/bushwackers play in their real backyards. Take care my friend and I will definitely see you on the next one.
@@earthhorse5127 I met a saw a bug I had never sen before, anywhere this trek. Looked like a tiny crab, about like a popcorn cl and it jumped, high and far, along the sand?
the only part was the climb to the trail, the rest was smooth sailing, like a side walk. made it back to the car in under 2 hours. I was shocked how fast I made it and picking up trash along the way. NOW, if you take the creel edge, your bush whacking for days
Imagine what native Americans or pioneers felt after trapsing around in the dry, blazing Mojave then entering that canyon and finding cold clear water and a hot spring to soak in. They musta thought they died and went to heaven.
I used to go there with friends to check out the bare breasted chicadees. But every time I ended up with poison oak somewhere on my body. Damn fools were burning that stuff.
Another PHARRAOH Classic!! Loved it. Be blessed, my friend. PS Thanks for taking the time to show me your knife!
I got a new fero rod, its incredible, flame thrower! holds 2 fire started in it or water pills

up at Gregory, in the 80's, we would catch 100 crappie a day. Keep 10 or 15, catch and release the rest. So much different in the worlg now.
Goodtimes.
Fish sounded really good.

Nice, minutes away from my house
Got footage of a large Puma in those neck of the woods. Most of the locals have seen it numerous times, part of his home range.🐆
