First 900 at age 7. That's 5 years max starting from barely being able to walk to having learnt one of the most difficult and dangerous tricks in the sport. Insane.
Not "so much better", I think their runs were similar, Sanchez had flip tricks, Schaar had grinds, difficult to say which one was better. I would lean towards Sanchez.
@danielsmekss6453 I think if JD had incorporated more lip tricks, he probably would have medaled. I also think his second run that he fell on probably would have stuck him on the podium.

When I think of Moto I think consistency, that was such a strange competition for him but wow so many youngins going WILD (and with style too!) Always was more into street and park to a lesser extent but I am happy to see vert is in a great place and has an even brighter future than ever
Amelia is so great at commentary. Knows tricks, knows statistics, knows news about parts and other competitions, knows skaters and gives all to us every time!

Now I understand the right skaters were podiumed correctly this year ( at thier 2ndary contest) but now it seems wilkins who could always land his signature linear run but now bailed on all attempts...... I'm not saying yet that this is show but that's like tom Brady throwing 4 picks in a game when he never does.
Last run did not worth to take JDs spot and it was obviously for everyone and I hate how the comentators set the scene for the robbery saying its worthing podium before the score in a lame atempt to manipulate the crowds opinion , I start to get sick of this favoritsm , F the judges and the coruption

Amelia's commentary shows awareness of skateboarding culture. I appreciate that she is able to call the tricks, especially in the Men's Street comp. The guy sounds like if you told an AI to do an impression of Jesse Pinkman if he was into Monster instead of Meth, and then fed the AI stats about only the following information: How old the riders are, how many medals from X games they "own" (a weird way to phrase that), and contextual statements about the competition. I understand the job needs to be done, someone has to state objective information in these competitions but I really wish he would provide a less white washed commentary. What is the opposite of color commentary? He's got that. Credit where credit's due: I wouldn't know Amelia's name if he didn't do such a good job of saying it. She could work on that.

Big spin back lip, curtains. JD is an awesome skater but adter a kickflip varial 540 you do a bigspin back lip, you go ahead in scire.
I agree lip tricks are pretty unimpressive to me but the only vert ramp I've ever ridden was made of snow so I'm probably biased towards airs.
