STORY:
Sansa is married to Jaime instead Tyrion. Jaime and Sansa didn't want it.They slowly begin to build a relationship. Jaime falls in love with her.
Brienne reminds him that he made a promise to take Sansa back to her family. Jaime doesn't want to do it because he's happy with her but he sees that she wants to come back home. He helps her escape from King's Landing (and then regrets this).
A few years later Jaime goes to the North to help defeat the Night King. He doesn't believe his eyes when he sees his wife. When Sansa sees him, she realises how much she missed him and that she loves him.

Jaime's new path in life started when he made an Oath to Catelyn Stark to find and protect her daughters. Later on he gave Brienne his sword so she could find Sansa. I wish the writers would have gone back to that so Jaime becomes Sansa's ultimate defender where he would try looking for her to fullfill his oath and it would become an obsession.
But anyway for fanfics, if we can push it further, when the Lannisters defeated the Tyrells and they captured Olenna and she tells Jaime that she was part of Joffrey's assassination she could also tell him that she made a pact with Little Finger to kill Joffrey and that in the deal, LF was getting Sansa in exchange. So this would have made Jaime feel guilty that he let this happen. After that, when he learned that Sansa was in Winterfell, Jaime could have had a Maester send a raven with a message to her, telling her about the story. This whole thing when Jaime arrives in Winterfell could have been played differently with her defending him. Then have Sansa being captured by Cersei perhaps at King's Landing and have Jaime charge the Red Keep and he finally kill Cersei. Sansa and Jaime would embrace each other. This could take place after Brienne would have died during the Long Night. To unify the Kingdom Sansa and Jaime would marry and be King and Queen or her being Queen in the North and him being her....hand.

love sansa dress to tyrion, they should have made it as couple with lots of kids and sandor as her queensguard, and shae as tyrion mistress, this foursome should have ended up on throne, and tyrion is the secret targaryen, mad king son with johanna, so it all works out,
