the youtube algorithm really worked in my favor here-- Dungeons and Drag Queens was the first D&D show i've ever watched last month, followed by Mentopolis, and i was wondering which season to go with next!!
@@AmrutaRanade i had started A Ravening War last night, since i've heard so much about Matt Mercer, but i think i may have dove a bit too deep (both with it being a pre-sequel, and my first time experiencing a Matt Mercer campaign) so these reccs are perfect, thank you!!
Ive watched all the seasons with the ”main cast” + mentopolis, and i finally watched mice and murder and oh my god am i glad that i did. I binged the whole thing in a few days cause i couldn’t stop watching. The perfect murder mystery, kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Propably my favourite, 10/10 recommend, especially for those who like classic detective stories.
This video just showed up in my recommendations. It was really fun to hear your perspective on the different seasons and I like that you had a positive spin on all of them. Your comment about not forcing yourself to binge watch hundreds of ours of D20 just for a internet video is also a refreshingly positive take, considering how often people do stuff that are bad for themselves, for internet clout. Since you haven't watched it, I will reccomend "Mice and Murder." I am currently watching it and it is great fun. It is similar to ACoFaF in that it is high on role playing and no combat (as far as I've seen). The cast are all old College Humor cast members, who are funny, great improvisers and who know each other well. It is also one of the last seasons from during the lockdown, so the production crew has done some great work in adapting it to remote recording.
Crown of candy is my fav. I love dimension 20 and the cast. But crown of candy had all the high politics and PCs questioning the narrative. It felt like the most real live play game of the sort my group of friends plays with lots of politics and intrigue. I haven’t seen a season I didn’t like. Mouse and murder is another highlight. Haven’t seen em all yet. Thanks for the video. It’s a trip down memory lane.
Wow, really happy this was recommended to me! I'm a huge Dropout & CR fan, but I've put off watching D20 until this year. Haven't finished the first season yet, but this was a fun watch to see what I get to look forward to!

Thanks for helping me pick my next series! Mentopolis is definitely my favorite, and I personally loved escape from Bloodkeep but thats because I'm a huge lord of the rings nerd lol
Nice vid, i only started watching D20 stuff around the time Mentopolis started but my ratings for shows ive seen perfectly line up with yours so far and definitely inform what i should watch next
I am getting into D20, I started Dungeons and Drag Queens with my husband cause we both watch Drag Race.. then saw Mentopolis because I love Hank Green... but watching that made me realise how strong the College Humor cast are and so the celebrity players arent the drawcard for me anymore. I went OG and watched Fantasy High.. and just watched Neverafter and loved it.. it had stuff that was conceptually scary but a room full of comedians meant I couldnt really take any of that seriously. I am trying to figure out what to watch next so thank you for this list! I am thinking Unsleeping City :)

Do you think you will do a complete ranking list when you have watched all the seasons, including Junior Year? Would love to hear some more in depth thoughts on your fave and least fave seasons too! Like a deep dive?

Oooh what did you decide to watch next? I recommend Unsleeping City (it's free on UA-cam) or Fantasy High, but can't go wrong with any D20 show tbh!
