    Another good video 👍 I work with 300 horses at a stud farm in the south of France and I always finish work at 18:30 and then I go home and look after 2 donkeys and my 7 horses and 4 horses in livery so I sometimes finish at 21:00

    Our duck pool I drilled a hole in the bottom and installed a tub drain. You can get them at hardware stores. Get a drain, some caulk, and a plug. I put the pool up on some old tires with a piece of plywood to give a more solid base. I also drilled a hole in the plywood where the plug would sit. This picks it up off the ground so the water can flow out the drain easily. I put a cinder blog next to the pool to make it easier for the ducks to get in.

    I know all too well of the florida heat and animals. What we do for the duck pond is we use the metal water tubs...drilled a hole and secured a short metal pipe with on amd off switch to drain fast, clean and refill. We def got tired of dumping everyones pools! Hahah

    To drain the pool you should cut the lid off of a disposable water bottle and connect it to the bottom/side, and to drain it all you would have to do is unscrew the lid! Hopefully that was helpful. Btw I love your vids. I am obsessed with horses and came across your vids and can’t wait until the next time you post! You inspired me to take horse riding lessons, hopefully I can become as talented as you! 💖 (hopefully that all made sense lol)

    Same 😂 I always end up dirty and totally relate with bathing!
    Not sure if you wanna try this or if itll work BUT I'd you wanna drain the water without getting water in the stall you could use a fish tank siphon. Itll suck up the water and it has a little tube maybe 2-3 ft long you can point it out the stall, then youd be able to scrub the pool(s).
    Hope that helps!
    Also how long do you typically round pen for? Does it depend on the horse if they are doing good and have a good day? Or do you have a "set" time?

    loved the video, I was wondering if you had any tips for keeping a horse from going to fast in a trot? Whenever I'm riding my horse, as soon as I ask for a trot it is way too quick and I have to one rein stop him. I ask him gently and he does it fine when roundpenning.

  • @Tulleteisen
    @Tulleteisen 6 років тому

    do you think that you maybe could make a video about how you learned your horses to react that way on the wip (?) in the roundpend? like how you got them to respond like that? And maybe a video or something about how the heck your horses aren't afraid to get water like straight in the face(lol), how did you teach them not to get afraid when you know, get water in the face?

      she uses it for directional purposes it’s just an extension of her arm to essentially block off one direction so it moves the horse the other direction. that is what a horse in the wild would do is to block off and guide the horse.
