- A similar version that pulls air from under the cooling pad - amzn.to/34IOU7R
Just the rear fan blower - amzn.to/2VLVMAQ
*The maker of this cooling pad changed from a full-sized stand to just the fan. It's the same fan just without the whole stand.
An interesting laptop cooling pad that is surprisingly powerful!
Video review of a similar but smaller laptop cooler • Powerful, Quiet, and C...
The high output centrifugal turbine fan laptop cooler moves A LOT of air to cool off even the hottest gaming laptops. The high-quality metal fans is over 7 inches long and sits horizontally in the rear of the cooler leaving the middle open for plenty of airflow. This means you won't have any dead spots of stagnant air that axial fans have.
Centrifugal fans or blowers tend to be quieter than axial fans and move air at a higher velocity. The high-pressure air will help push more air through the vents on the bottom of your laptop to help cooler it even faster.
The intake will pull air in through the top and rear of the laptop cooler so placing it on a soft surface like a bed, couch, or your lap will not suffocate it like a lot of other coolers on the market that have the intakes on the bottom.
Keeping your laptop cool will extend its life and improve its performance. Gaming, video editing, and other CPU intensive activities can really heat up a computer. Some laptops either don't have an internal fan or have a weak fan that can't dissipate fast enough. The worst thing you can do is place your laptop on a soft surface like a bed and completely suffocate the fans. These are all great reasons why a laptop cooler is a great idea.
Don't get why people complain about things being loud when most of them have on headphone or earphones lol.
It's when they don't have the headphones or earphones on.
Some people actually do music creation with those , and also with open headphone design witch basically makes you hear everything around ;) (for exemple in my case a Beyerdynamics DT 990 pro)
Its not that loud to me. Normal fan noise. I find all quiet fans arent powerful enough. Thats the trade off of power and quietness.
It's not really loud at all, You can listen to the youtubes without headphones just fine. Only a little white noise you barely notice.
When you're on the mic with friends you doing want a fucking turbine sound. I don't think this one is loud enough for a mic to pick up though.
Why at NO point do you show a laptop seated on it?
No test or anything to show temp difference. Great!!!!
The only thing missing on this review is an actual test with actual GPU/CPU temps. But other than that I really liked to see the visualization of the airflow. The smoke was a great way to demonstrate the powerful airflow of this device! Thanks for the video!
Thank you man, I found this and bought it, all I can say was great!! This cooler way better than laptop cooler I purchased before!!
would you share with us where you've found it?
Yeahh can you post the link here buddy?
I bought one of these for my alienware r4 15". I use the laptop like a desktop tower most of the time. I turn the cooling fan around so it sucks air from the front and blows it to the back of the laptop where the laptop vents are. This helps disapate the hot air around the vemts as well. I leave it on all the time at full speed. Even when the laptop is off. Its not that loud. I havent tested anything with special tools but the laptop nevee slows down game play after 8+ hours of gaming. Ark, rust, WoW, Farcry, etc. So it works good in my opinion. I isually see slow down or lag when a gaming pc is hot over a long period of gaming.
How do you do that with the power cord sticking out of the back of the fan. Do you mean you turn it around and lay the laptop on top of the fan so its sucking directly from the bottom of the laptop and then blowing out toward the back?
I have a question.... why didn't you test it on a laptop and compare the before and after computer heat
Because a lot of manufacturers don't want you to know that their overpriced plastic only reduces heat by 5c.
Just get the custom ones with actual fans with high rpm
@@1700tt got an example? Or did you mean build your own?
@@korigan100 idk somebody actually sells it my country. Its made of pvc pipes with real actual pc fans try searching rpmax
When you do the smoke test hold it a little further away so the fan can pull the smoke in and out
Its hard to tell what is doing what as it's so close to the cooler the smoke is being rammed through by the force of the smoke machine. Still appreciate you doing this as no one does.
That's what I'm thinking too.
I remember they did similar test on air purifier.
Anyway.
What I notice most testers didn't lift their laptop up to get better ventilation from the bottom.
To save money, just buy those chair anti slip adhesive buttons and stack them if you want raise higher like I'm doing now.
Not for laptops which vents their hot air out from their back vents. That hot air will be again pulled by this cooler from back and thrown at your laptop's bottom.
praNavTHE interNETscavenGER you got a point
True, but the percentage of air it pulls from the vents would be very small. Maybe 5% of the air would actually come from the vents, the other 95% would be fresh air. With my laptop cooler on, my internal fan rarely turns on unless I'm watching video or doing some heavy work.
Have you tested it? i want a laptop cooling pad for my Asus G75VX. It does have ventilation holes underneath.
I agree to this. Most gaming laptops are designed like this.
Agreed. That's the first thing i noticed. My laptop has all it's vents on the rear and this thing will just recycle all that hot air.
This is cool, you could even turn it into an evaporative cooler with some small water tubing and evap cooling pad material in the spacing
I have one of these for MSi Laptop, I had to Modify it and actually use it backwards and raise the end of it, I also blocked off that open part at the bottom so the colder air can go straight up in to the back vents of the Laptop and force the air through the back vents. It keeps my Laptop Cooler from 82 Degrees Celsius to 69-72 Degrees Celsius while I am Rendering Video files.
What should be the temperature while heavy gaming? What temperature is healthy and won't damage CPU or GPU?
People also can get benefit from this laptop cooler in winter time.
Hi, Erik! I have a question. Is this Cooling Fan compatible with 17 inch Laptop. I am using Dell Precision M6500. So does that works on my Laptop? Anxiously waiting for your reply :) Thank you
I love to see the Air Conditioned Laptop Cooler
2 years reply but that thing will produce moisture
What if my laptop blows air out right there. Would it just be sucking back up that heat?
couldn't find this in China, but I bought something just like it and all I can say is YES!!! this is what I wanted. the other cooling pad I bought would be easily smothered underneath in any application where I needed it and even on a hard surface it seemed to make a negligible difference.
This type of pad on the other hand. whew. it has three settings. low, medium, and high. I find that in my normal usage. each setting lowers the temp of my laptop by 5C. if I normally run at 60C give or take, this things takes me down to about 40-45. The kind of temperatures I could only get before when on battery and battery saver mode. The intake vents on my inspiron 7590 are underneath and the exhaust is at the screen hinge. It forces air through with such a force I can put my fingers above the exhaust and feel it.
Moreover, it keeps my keyboard cool. Like before this pad, even if my laptop temps happened to be around 45-50... the left side of my keyboard could still be very hot to the touch.
the only concern I have is if forcing the air through at such force could damage my laptop fans by spinning them up higher than what was intended and maybe harm them or the motor... Probably an unfounded worry, but just something in the back of my mind. increased fan speed, even if it is because of air being blown across them, could wear them out faster...but this is a Dell Inspiron, I'm pretty sure I can replace the fans more easily than I could the processor/gpu :D
Also I'm not quite sure how many watts it draws. I read that USB can deliver up to 4500 mW. that seems to fit how much this thing draws when I measure. If so, it could drastically reduce battery life your laptop by a few hours. of course, you could plug it into a portable battery instead my portable battery that I use to charge my phone could probably power the cooling pad for about 6 hours if I found myself in a situation where I needed to use the cooling pad on battery power but didn't want to sacrifice the battery life of my laptop. :)
such a situation though is probably unlikely. but who knows.
Its actually a Better Design, more power & have resonance chamber for noise reduction
also, the high inlet position in a great position, prevent dust from the bottom contamination.
In your laptop, what is DVD for? What kind of plug-in is that?
Hola una pregunta, esta base tambien expulsa aire por la parte de arriba, o solo expula el aire por las rejillas frontales?
I tried this on my Razer Blade Pro 17 and it really didn't get any cooling. It said it was good for 17" laptops, but mine stuck out in the back so the fan was under my laptop. All my vents are in the back, so I don't think this design works for that layout. Any suggestions?
I have devised the ULTIMATE laptop cooler, I have a patent attorney on it now. Without going into too many specifics {for obvious reasons}, it uses glycol to keep the entire system cool. It is an internal cooler, and nothing else even comes close to cooling like my system does. And another benefit? IT IS COMPLETELY SILENT! Stay tuned........
how's that going now? Ever considered kickstarter/indiegogo? If it works, I might be down to fund it! Please let me/us know!
that sounds pretty cool, might be willing to fund it
I have a Alienware 17 r3 that runs pretty hot. especially when I play vr. if you want to send me one (because mine have rear vents) and record results I can. and of course send it back. been looking for an actual solution.
Full of shit unless you can make a ordinary laptop suddenly a water-cooled laptop.
It's a joke lmfao, glycol is not a cooling agent.. What would be really efficient for cooling while silent would be peltier elements and low profile fans. Of course that can't be driven by a USB port. Most laptop coolers suck.
Good review... Wish u kept the fog machine further from the coolers intake to see how much it actually sucks in... Link doesn't take us to the correct cooler
my laptop is an rog gl502vm and I have a huge cooling problem reaching 95 degrees... Would you recommend this to my laptop?Do you think this is the best laptop currently available in the market in terms of dissipating heat? I don't mind fan noise at all. I just want my laptop cooled. I'll be waiting for your kind reply.
Hey, which cooler did you end up going for? I have a GL502VS
Mark Dacanay I ended up using a thermaltake sp 17. It helps cool at least 5 degrees despite its slow rpm. It also has a built-in speaker. The speaker is only nice if your laptop's speakers aren't that great which mine actually is so I'm satisfied with both the cooling and the speakers.
Mark Dacanay btw I've been looking for this laptop everywhere and it seems that it is gone from the market right now
does that fit on my 15.6 inch gaming laptop?
i really like it but its out of stock on amazon and newegg :(
what do you think it will suit lenovo 50-70 (15.6inch)CM Storm SF-17 or Cooler Master NotePal X3
I have the same havit cooler shown in your video. Can you tell us if the turbine cooler was more effective, and if so, by how many degrees? Thanks!
my wife bought the c6 and in my test the predator sense the temperature running a game but stopped inside it was up to 94 degrees so I turned on the c6 and it made no difference. Have you already tested the c7 or made a comparison between the 2 or do you have some more powerful cooler to indicate?
tnx i was thinking of buying this for my helios 300 you already helped me alot saved me the money
I'm confused why pull air from the back where my laptop exhausts? Isn't that counter productive?
These are most likely not going to work with many kinds of laptops. Mine has holes on the bottom only so it's perfect
Took a while to find a video like this, thanks! One question tho, it seems that in the case of an Asus ROG GL702vs this wont help, considering the intake is at the bottom BUT on the sides. And the heat air goes thorugh the back, which in the case of this fan, will extract that same hot air below the laptop, right? Im having a hard time finding a cooler for that specific model since most of the regular cooling fans cover the laptops intake holes, pls help! D:
Did u find something? My laptop also throw the heat air on the back
Asus tuf have same problem
Any news?? I have the Asus strix
No updates?
with a normal laptop cooler (1 fan of 20centimeters spinning at 800rpm) + a vaccum cooler of (2500 RPM) my asus rog GL752 VW (i7 6700 and GTX960M) only cool in 4 degrees, this base is good for gaming laptops?
Configuration for each laptop individual. This one will suck back all of my hot air(which one goes out from back of laptop).
I think this Turbine good for laptops which have left-right edge out of hot air.
Where do you buy that cooler which gives off smoke?
Can you write the right MODEL NAME.
Or the official link.
The similar model have diferent Air Power
Why can't I find exactly this fan on Amazon? The link shows a different cooling pad
Where can I buy KLIM MISTRAL ?here in India is there any alternative to that ?
Do the intakes of the laptop have to be in the gap for it to work
Not only that but if the exhaust of the laptop is at the back, the cooler will draw hot air
@@Aris_Groumpos i bought it, and i get way better temps if i put paper behind it and direct the air up
Also if i run my laptop 24/7, would you recommend i take out the battery and always have it charging?
I've always left my battery in. I've read somewhere that it evens out the flow of electricity before it reaches your laptop.
Erik Summer im worrying that the overcharge would destroy my battery running it 24/7. So should i get a timer on my outlet?
Spifo Rex take the battery out if you use it like a Pc. It's better for the battery and laptop, keeps it cooler
Cheetah thanks bro. This really helped a lot
It's better for the battery if you take it out if you use your laptop like a PC (leave it plugged in all the time). Just make sure you charge it if you plan to take it somewhere on only battery power.
It is also better for the laptop because it helps with the cooling.
The AC adapter will protect your laptop electricity wise, not having the battery in like Erik said.
To be extra safe, you can email the manufacturer.
theres a similar one which is from KLIM called KLIM Airflow. Is it the same or worse than this 1STPLAYER Black Sir C6?
As of now, this 3 fan version is the least expensive amzn.to/3dFAvie I looked at the KLIM and I would stay away from the smaller fans. They have a higher rate of failure and make more noise because they have to spin faster.
@@ErikSummer thank you for your fast reply :) but i cant see where it says that the KLIM has smaller fans :P am i blind or is it something that only technically knowledged people would know?
this is the one i was talking about, it seems to be the exact same product as the one in this video just in plastic lol :P klimtechs.com/shop/coolers/klim-airflow/
I have an HP Spectre x360 if this info is helpful at all :D
I currently use Cooler Master Notepal X3. Is this worth upgrading to?
If your Notepal X3 is still putting out a good amount of air then hold onto it! That's a good cooler.
It just didn't seem to put out much of air and when I tested using hwmonitor it was literally the same temperature as having my laptop on rooster stand vs X3 :/ I'm hoping this laptop cooler is the ONE!
I run videos on my laptop 24/7. Would you recommend this cooler or is the lotfancy cooling pad already enough?
If you already have a cooling pad I'd stick with that one. Those lotfancy pads are decent.
Erik Summer i dont have a cooling pad yet. So would getting the lot fancy be alright?
is it better than the HAVIT HV-F2056 which appears to be the one used in the video? i currently have a HAVIT HV-F2056 but it still thermal throttles when intensive gaming. ex rainbow six seige, shadow warrior, farcry 3 ect.
hi , if i got acer nitro 5 where the fans are in the back -right its better klim airflow or klim wind? ty
what if the exhust is in the rear of the computer, would not the intake grab the hot air back to the cycle?
What's the product name??
The Amazon link to this laptop cooler add points to a totally different one. Please give me the correct link. Thanks, I like your videos a lot.
This is same as KLIM Airflow?
How much drop should I expect in heavy gaming?
None
my razerblade fan output is literally the same place this cooler draws air from. wouldnt that in theory just slam more hot air in.
Dell g15 as well.
bro should i go for this model or you have some another or new model to suggest ??
If you have the space on your desk and don't mind paying a premium then get this one. It would be hard to find another laptop cooler that does a better job at forcing air right where your laptop needs it. (assuming your laptop has a bottom intake vent). If you're just a casual user and just want something small and quite then get this 3 fan cooler - amzn.to/39I9tEA
I think it should be blowing air out from the back?
I got a 17.3 inch would it still work
Hello m8, what is the exact name of this product? I am looking all over the web for it but no luck so far.
I think it's the "Verclock" by 1STPLAYER. Here's a link to it - amzn.to/2dBZkgo
anyone own this cooler? Wondering by how much degrees did your temps drop down by especially whilst gaming/editing?
The link is different. Its not the same product anymore. Whats the name of it?
I think I need one of these when I had a gaming lap top. I killed 2 asus gaming laptops. Then I gave up and bought an asus Rog instead. :)
how is Asus rog in terms of cooling
Great video man. I want to buy this now. Totally. Your review was perfect dude. Thank you very much. Would you still recommend buying this over all the others? Regardless Ima buy it.
Subbed btw 👍
This review 'blew' Me away. 😁
bahahahhahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaa
my laptop gpu fans are on the side , the fan does not cover the side part of the laptop , is it still useful ?
The intake vents are on the bottom right? Laptop coolers mostly help with removing the built up heat under the laptop and battery. Most laptops have vents on the bottom so this should keep not only your GPU cooler but also everything else.
Erik Summer can you please check out my laptop model to be sure its useful for me ?
msi-gs72,4k
My notebook actually need this cooler because it has big vent in the down side (underneath). Please give me the link to buy ones. The link you attach is a different model
dude, how does one make a review for a laptop cooler without actually using any laptops.
Stress test with C⁰/F⁰ readings as well
How can i clean this cooler??
Awesome video dude :D
What if the fan gives the cold air through liquid cooling in a closed casing
I was just thinking about that this morning. I mean we have the abilities of intricate machines which go to Mars... why not our laptops also? "Liquid Cooling" would be great and also has an attractive design. Would be a first...
@@aragureghian724 🙏👍😎🔥🎉 and I am on it.
I didn't know Harland Williams did tech videos
Would be better if you didn't put the smoke source so close to the intake so we can see how powerful the intake is.
Ofc I wanna know about that smoke generator too.
I am planning to buy this for my Dell G7 and Alienware 17 R3. Anyone who has used it on any of the two laptops please help me out if I should buy this or not?
This cooler is not listed below your video
How much do it actually cool down by? give us some Celsius number?
It depends a lot on the laptop and how hot it's getting but I'd say around 5 degrees Celsius. Even more, if the bottom of your laptop is metal.
Is this for sale anywhere?
wheres the ac powered laptop cooling fans at , like no usb just pure wall power.
Yeah I wonder why they don't make that anymore cuz when your laptop blows air out back it would suck it back in and then there's a recirculating the hot air
Great review! I've been through many cooling fans but always wanted something much stronger but have never found one as most are built to be quiet. Sadly I have to order from the US as I am unable to find one here in Australia which means that extra markup postage price but it definitely looks like this might be the one.
How has it worked for you?
You happy with it?
Can you use this for Alienware 17? What is the dimension of the middle space?
At the rear of the open area it's 8.75 inches wide and from front to back it's 4.75 inches. I use it on a 17 MSI and it fits good. Nice and sturdy. Moves tons of air over the many vents underneath.
I have a alienware r3 15". Its the exact size of my laptop. So the 17" will slightly hangover. But it shouldnt be a problem.
Like for the cat
link is dead can you post a current one of where i can purchase?
You should also use Celsius not just Fahrenheit measure
No u
If the video is done in america its F not C suck it, you can do math right? ;)
soo all the hot air gonna go forward to you ?
It blows so much air that you wont feel any of the heat. The heat will be gone like a fart in a hurricane.
This cooler pulling in air from the back is a moot point. If your using a gaming laptop that vents its hot air out the back then you are pulling warm air into your device.
That link is not the item. Do you have a new link for it?
I just checked, it looks like they updated the design. It looks like it works the same way, but might be less stable since your laptop wont be resting on a large surface.
flash.newegg.com/Product/9SIA8GC4A21505
Wow you do some excellent reviews! Very detailed, but where is the actual product? Your link just goes to the fan alone, not the whole platform. Oh I see, you mentioned that so this full platform is no longer available then I suppose.
Will this cooler work for a 14 inch HP laptop?
Yes, I put a 15" HP on it and it fit perfect. The cooler will stick just slightly around the edges on a 14 inch.
Would this work with the Dell Inspiron 15?
you put the wrong link in your description
I got lucky, they had one in stock at Amazon. Ordered but I'm bit worried that all the air will just straight pass through towards me instead of blowing upwards to cool the laptop. I wish they gave us options to cover the front vent.
You can add some tape to block the front vent and force the air up. Even with most of the air coming out the front, a lot still gets forced up from the high volume of air moving underneath your laptop.
Thanks Eric! can't wait to get mine soon!
I thought the same amd tested blue painters tape over the bottom slot. It changes the air flow but i didnt notice much difference. I took the tape off. The cooler doesnt blow air into the laptop but cycles fresh air along to bottom so you laptop gets a fresh cooler supply of air.
That's probably way more super duper ultra mega infinite way more powerful than my notebook alone. I bet that thing has 3000 watts power consumptikn
Can you test with with glass on top of ort
I need a fan for an 18 inch laptop any ideas?
I use this one at my office on my 17" amzn.to/2jC9Bg5
It doesn't bend under the weight of my 8 pound laptop and put out a good amount of air!
Check the measurements, but it should fit fine.
Super awesome cooler, the best one, however, I know that there is a kind of cooler which attached on the USB. That kind of cooler is super strong and crazy, it will shorten the life of laptop's fan. Besides, it will worsen the dust situation of laptop's fan. the worst situation can cause the laptop fan stop working. I am not sure if this kind of cooler which just stay on the bottom of laptop would have the same threat
It would be better if you could compare temps with or without cooler
Been waiting since 2016 to be sold in my country. But still not been sold. Now its 2020 💀
Bad Management of Heat, Because heat go up side not down side, I think fan revolve reversed side then it is double efficient
What's the name again? And i cant find it on amazon.
the link shows a different cooling fan.. it just shows the centrigual turbine.. not the cooling pad it self.. please fix it.. thank you!
MAN THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST LAPTOP COOLER REVIEW I'VE WATCHED. Good demonstration of how powerful the air is with that smoke thing. I already bought 2 laptop coolers, a 6fans and single big fan but I feel those aren't powerful enough to cool my gaming laptop down. And I will definitely try this one out 👍
Did this work out?
This is not the same product shown on Amazon with the link you provided
the air intake from the back sucks, because its probably the pc air outtake
But this super duper cooling blower pad blows air not under laptop but behind it....You can see it doesnt work as cheap cooling pad which directs cold air into laptop not outside it
who else also thought that is a robot blwoing out those instead of a person carrying it
the fuck
wich of the versions extract air too?
the link is different than the product you reviewed
he commented on that above the link. They don't make it anymore. Just the fan now.
Bad desing with the hole that lets the air to escape
