The Breuer House is a mid-century model home first showcased at the Museum of Modern Art. Designed as a moderate-cost, expandable, and stylish family home by Bauhaus-trained Marcel Breuer for MoMA’s 1949 “House in the Museum Garden” exhibition, it was subsequently purchased by John D. Rockefeller, Jr., and rebuilt at Pocantico as a guest house in 1950. Our two virtual tours of the Breuer House, highlight its iconic architecture, art, and furnishings.
