(if you read through all of this i gotta tell you that there is in fact some scenes here that were upscaled with a.i., but you'll know them when you see it. i did it cuz the estate decided to mix SD scenes with HD, so i manually selected the SD scenes and upscaled them, but ONLY them)

It was an astounding performance (I recall that the legendary Gene Kelly praised it highly the next day). This extended version is equally wonderful. We lost so much when he left the planet, but I’m glad that such displays of his talent live on.
Each step, each movement, the sway of the hips, flick of the fingers, shoulders beating with the tempo -- sheer artistry, precision and wow only MJ can muster. He lives on!

It's so sad that by his late 40's to 50 at his death, he had deteriorated and weakened so much! Hard to believe! Watch him and how good he is in The Wiz, despite how polarizing that movie is. Sadly, I truly believe if he hadn't messed with his face so much, he would have been a huge movie star, too. Something he really wanted to be. It was his choice to change his appearance but it did hinder his ability to be anyone other than Michael Jackson from Bad on. He was a deep studier of all the great artists -Astaire, Kelly, Keaton, Caplin. The Billie Jean Hat is a direct nod to Fred Astaire. There is even archive footage of him dressed up as Chaplin. He melded all of them, added his flair and the result is MJ magic that no one can emulate or touch to this day. This footage is incredible!
