Then, Super came out which did everything and more. Now, I’m so desperately hoping explorers gets a remake like rescue team has so I can experience this absolute godsend.
Do you mean that ironically? All that happens is Palkia roars then teleports into some special effects. They didn't even give him a unique animation (I.e swinging his arm like he's supposed to for the move) like they did for other box-art Legendaries (AKA, Zacian/Zamazenta, Solgaleo/Lunala)

At first I didn't think much of the legendary theme for Dialga and Palkia. After hearing a couple more times though, it grew on me. Now, thanks to the remake, I'm viciously banging my head back and forth hamming to this theme.

Gen 5 was the peak of the franchise. The only way the remakes could possibly be disappointing is if they are changed so much that they no longer qualify as Pokemon games,

I like how the song itself sounds like its warping throughout time and space. Its so much more celestial now. With the warping white noise in the background it truly sets an atmosphere like no other. Amazing recomposition
The transition sound during the theme makes it even better because it shows you’re fighting a Goliath of myth who can control either time or space at its command. Really glad you left that in.

Only the first notes brought tears to my eyes. I remember like it was yesterday when I first heard the original theme back in 2008 summer and when I caught my palkia I was screaming. Despite diamond/pearl weren't my first Pokémon games (it was leafgreen) they've always been my favourite ones and the ones I've spent the most time playing

Everyone has their opinion on where Pokémon is going right now. But I think it’s fact that if there’s one thing Pokémon never ever screws up, it’s the music.
I like that in these games, Dialga's lines and Palkia's shoulder pearls are always "shining," unlike in Legends Arceus. Maybe this is from their power being brought out by the red chain.
I saw people rant about the design of Lord Palkia and Lord Dialga, but let me explain how it fits. Dialga looks like Arceus the most because he spends a lot of TIME with his dad. Dialga looking like the PokéGod is like time being a ethereal existence like God IRL. Palkia on the other hand looks more of a pegasus rather than a goat dragon. Sure, he loves daddy Arceus but he needs some SPACE. The ability to make dimensions are granted by Arceus, so it’s like having the power to make your own room. And space being physical and not intangible begets the fact that Palkia doesn’t look like Arceus. And the reason why Giratina doesn’t have a Lord form is because he’s the Devil, of course. He started a teenage revolution against his dad. And the best part of the new forms of Pearly and Diamond is that it’s unique. It is the originality of the new forms that seperates the final product from the fanmade interpretations of Primal Palkia/Dialga. That concludes my discussion why the Lord forms fit. You can complain about the Space-Time Duo’s new forms all you want, *but I’m sure as “HE who uses hockey sticks for dual wielding” that I won’t.*

This, Cyrus and Cynthia probably have the coolest remixes in the whole game. ILCA did an amazing job and I hope they come back for whenever Unova gets the remake treatment
I prefer the original much much more over this. Main reason is because Sinnoh’s feature instrument in its original soundtrack was the piano much like the trumpet was for Hoenn. So this BDSP soundtrack while still good, doesn’t represent the instrumental flare of the OG DPP soundtrack. I still love the soundtrack of BDSP and think that it’s other tracks are a definite step up over the original such as Mt Coronet and the Galactic Commander Battle Theme.
This game allowed me to catch Palkia in his own game for the first time. I never did it in Pearl cause at the time I managed to beat Byron Platinum came out. So Platinum was the first Pokemon game I beat and Giratina took Palkia's place.

This is a good recreation, but just good. One of the better ones in this remake’s OST, though I’ve heard fanmade covers that sound much better for Sinnoh remakes.
I feel like bdsp themes compared to dp are mostly too smooth and balanced that it lost some impact that dp used to have due to the "improved" instruments. The flaws due to the hardware limitations back then made the original better somehow.
The rythm of the drums is something i like more in this version What the original did better was the impact of the drums. Overall the rest of instruments is cool in both of them
