  • In June 2006, American Electric Power (AEP) energized it's Wyoming Station to Jacksons Ferry Station 765kV line in West Virginia after 16 years of siting, permitting, engineering, and construction. The project stretches 90 miles, from Wyoming Station in the mountains of southern West Virginia to Jacksons Ferry Station in southwestern Virginia. This was the first line in North America to utilize a 6-conductor bundle arrangement. This documentary was produced by AEP and its partners, including Sherman+Reilly Inc.

I was an electrician 42 years! Worked in nuclear power plants all over the country. Just unreal watching these men work in a very dangerous situation and they do it like a very well oiled machine..It takes a man years of training to make it happen. I know that here in the south the men that work with the helicopters is like a marriage. The pilot and the linemen stay together for their whole career.
