Dugong Diving near Coron, Philippines

Diving and snorkeling with Dugongs off Coron Island in the Philippines. Special thanks to Dugong Dive Center for making it happen and to Cashew Grove Beach resort for a wonderful stay.

Those fish follow them around, hoping to get scraps of food while the Dugong is feeding.

Manatees are occasionally called sea cows, as they are slow plant-eaters, peaceful and similar to cows on land. They often graze on water plants in tropical seas.

What is the name of the dive site where you can see the manatee? Is it possible to do both manatee and other dive site in a day?

I don't remember the name of the site, but you can reach out to Dugong Dive center in Coron or check out their website (dugongdivecenter.com/v3/). Yes, you can do multiple dives when you visit the Dugongs. It is basically just another dive site in the area. We usually did 3 dives per day.

NinZo` they clean up the Dugong, it seems they also eat Dugong’s dead skin cells or some say poop, lol. Dugong feeds & benefits many, so it has many entourage, hehe.
