- I’m flight attendant jojo and since I’m returning to flying soon my company has asked me to pick a new airport base! I go through my thought process for how I picked each base and what order I selected them. Hope you enjoy the plane spotting at the beginning.

Oh Jojo, my fave thing to do, watch planes. My son as well. There's nothing like it. It almost looks like they're going to fall out of the sky. Do this often. I'd choose Boston, my neck of the woods. Lived in MA. I love New England & history!😊✈️🛫🛬

I transferred to Philly for ONE MONTH and that was enough for me. I put that as my LAST option as well.

Even after working ramp I still enjoy watching aircraft do their thing. It's actually relaxing. There is a plane viewing area at MSP that I try to take sometime to stop at when near by there. Tough choice to pick which plane but would say 737 as a first round pick. Congratulations on the 4 year anniversary at the airline
As a very frequent high mileage traveler for years, I've lived in most of the cities you picked......I hope you are on your knees praying to God that they let you stay in LA!...Too bad Denver was not on the list though. Smack dead center of the Country and very easy to get to any place in the US with ease. And an airport that hardly ever has delays.....Give me LAX and HB any day! Gawd I miss HB!

The 77W is such a beautiful airplane and those engines sound like music.
For anyone who doesn’t know what ‘B77W’ means, Boeing 777-300. (PS.: This includes the non-ER variant of the Boeing 777-300.)
You definitely didn't surprise me with Dallas, but Boston surprised me a little, but you're right... beautiful city. Can't argue that one.

I look forward to coming along with you. I have downloaded flight aware and on my days off I will treat myself to a Starbucks then go park at an area right across from the main runway at YVR. I get out my binoculars and see what is coming and going. I watched Air France take off on Sunday going non-stop from YVR to PPT. Yes! Tahiti! Beaches and sunshine...please. I am trying to memorize airport codes too. The Canadian ones are hard as they all start with “Y” and most of the letters don’t make sense. YCD is Nanaimo. I hope you get back to flying soon and if not, enjoy lots of time down under. Stay safe.

Really miss the 777-300 landing at Lax since relocating to the East Coast.
That In and Out on Sepulveda was one of our favorite places. Seems unreal now to think of waiting in line for a double double at 1am.

I love tp plane spot at SFO. There is an In N’ Out, but I go the Marina. I have tons of pictures. I have a picture of the A321T. Hope you stay at LAX. I hope you come to SFO and you are right about the lack of choices and the expense. I mainly take the Transcon on your airline because of the lack of nonstop choices. NYC would be my third pick for you.

Yay, DC on the list is probably ok. I lived there for a couple of months and remember liking it more than NY, but this is some time ago... Remember travelling through IAD; never been to the other one.

I personally would look for something close to home or at least in the same time zone and I would choose to fly out of one of the domestic hub airports like DCA. I really wouldn’t have the patience to fly long-haul. Unfortunately, our AA base is closing this month, but we still have a Delta base and JetBlue plans to add a base sometime later on.

Yay!! Hoping like crazy you get lax!!! I hate to say it but, the airports in nyc are absolute shit shows. Jfk airport has literally been under construction for the past 2 years not to mention the traffic and the expenses. Dallas would be so fun!! You have all of the other flight attendants are amazing people but again I hope that you get la so you don’t need to move!!

Being Ex Military and out of John Wayne the same Airline as you, The Military called it a Dream Sheet where we would pick the bases that we would like to go too and be stationed at and out of them 5 they would send me to one of those bases

Never thought PHL as safe at all but BOS i fully agree with, an awseone place although damn cold in winter.
MIA has a strange vibe to it but did not mind too much especially as you say, the beaches.
Finally DC we stayed at Tysons corner, good choice though for a pair of avgeeks with the two branches of the Ntnl air & space museum there👍❤

Chicago is not dangerous. Most of the crime occurs in a very small area. I was raised in Chi and was never in any danger, ever.

Hi great vlog! Just one question - let's say you get Miami as a base. Would you be able to still continue to live in Los Angeles, but commute to Miami for each assignment you get? Could the system work that way? Or do you "have to" move and stay in Miami? Thanks in advance for your answer. I have been dying to know this answer for a long time!
DFW probably would’ve been my 1st choice, JFK my 2nd & ORD would be my 3rd. I’d have to commute to JFK though. There’s no way I could afford to live there. Best wishes & good luck! I hope you get to stay at LAX!

Boston is horrendously expensive. Also, the commute to Logan is demanding and stressful--you would have to take the T for easier commute. Good luck with whatever you get!

They have a pretty good commuting policy to begin with 🤗 I used to do it for 3 years and never really had a problem
One fa I knew couldn't commute to work, her airport was closed due to snow storm, she was written up and told" you chose to commute". No, it's not great idea to commute! I flew for same airline,phx based. Phx is telling fa's 18 yrs to find another base.Lax very senior.

What’s the best way to get to In n Out from LAX (for a layover) Is there a train or bus there? If you know that’d be great :)
Walking 😁 you can walk from the airport to it. Or if you're at a hotel then Uber. If you're not far then it shouldn't be more than $10

Wow, they furloughed 8k, but to date, will be having another hiring round at the end of the month. Did some of those furloughed decide not to come back?
