300g of Chicken thighs
Salt and Pepper
A egg
3tbs of Flour
[Sauce]
6tbs of Sugar
5tbs of Vinegar
4tbs of Soy sauce
[Tartar sauce]
2 Boiled eggs
Pickled cucumber

Sutan's personality is developing right before our eyes, and in a few years, she'll definitely bring this bubbly persona. I hope she and Moe will continue to share their journey as mom and child. Your family's story has been a part of my Saturday morning habit this past year.

Ahh the classic toddler face wiping battle, "you wiped my face?!!" As a former toddler teacher I remember it well, it's a struggle for independence and sign of growth when they get mad at you for wiping their face. Giving them the wipe can sometimes reduce the struggle- you both handled it well🙌.
Ha ha I didn't like that either but my Mom quickly taught me that getting my face cleaned was a non-negotiable part of childhood to be endured without complaint.
@@MC-fw5vt Exactly your mother was right, but Sutan always gets her own way so she doesnt have to then sit in her chair and annoy her poor father after a hard day working, he never gets to eat his food in peace and always they share giving Sutan not only their food what little they had on their plates but then she gets to eat her own and all that she ate in the kitchen aswell, its so sad they have not taught her basic table manners😱👎🏼

Her father is not often around likely for work or travel and she really enjoys his attention. She's also developing a personality based on being on camera extremely often. She's guaging her father's response to make sure he still loves her.
She knows her mom will love her/not neglect her always because she is physically there.

@@MC-fw5vt she was just trying to acknowledge her daughter feelings and let her know that it is alright to feel upset if she was feeling so. I think that's extremely important especially in a country where people are not able to express their discomfort or feelings.
Moe and Moto being patient with little Sutan when she had a toddler moment and at 13:00 she starts to smile when Moto picks her up. Another great video.

The reason why Sutan cried when dad wiped her face because he did it without her permission. She asked dad to stop but he did not listen. Had it been that he had given the wipes to her and asked her to wipe her own face, she would have liked it better. This is a sign of a very independent and smart kid. My daughter was like her at that age. You can not feed her because she wants to hold her spoon, she chose the clothes she wants to wear and prepared her own drink. As early as her age I showed her how fraction works while following a pancake recipe box as this is what they call the “teachable moment” when they want to learn so much like what Moe is doing, letting Sutan help with meal prep. Moe and Moto are doing a good job in raising a very adorable and intelligent baby girl. Thank you for sharing your happiness with Sutan and life as it is to us. ❤

My daughter follows your channel and shares many of your videos with me. Yesterday she showed this one to me and asked if we could make it. “Let’s do it!,” I said. “I just need to get us some chicken.” She was surprised I said yes so quickly. I’m glad I did because the whole family had a great meal.

I really like this video! It shows the unpolished side of Japanese parenting life...Sutan being handful at times, Motosan’s helplessness and Moesan’s control over her own temper. It is hard work but it is rainbow towards the end.
Sutan is so funny! She has so much personality and loves to show off to her dad. Kids are the cutest at this age because they're so honest and are just soaking up so much information around them. She is learning so much and has grown up a lot in the past year. Moe is such a good mom and is always patient with Sutan too. I love see the whole family together like this.

In the past 1.5 years of this channel, most videos have made me watch them with teary eyes and smiling face at the same time. Because I get so happy and emotional and feel all sorts of stuff, plus me being an only daughter +child of my parents, living far away from them.

I really enjoy your videos. I am a 70 year old grandma but I lived in Japan from 1955 to 1968. I was able to go back to visit in 2001. I lived in Sapporo as my father was a teacher at Hokkudai. The food you make reminds me of what I ate as a child. I still enjoy Japanese cooking and food. I look forward to your next video.
Out of curiosity, do you speak japanese? I always wonder if it's possible to forget a language you grow up with (Hopefully this isn't an insensitive question! and if it is don't bother answering!)

I love to see Sutan’s personality develop like when she was about to crack the egg she was afraid she would mess up in front of her dad so she asked Moe for help it really show’s she wants to impress him and when the egg was cracked and ready to be whisked she wanted him to see she could do it all by herself. I think that’s so cute she’s only two yet she wants to show what she can do 😊

I always let my children help me cook too, even if it made cooking twice as long. Now, I have four teenagers who happily cook on their own. 😁
I'm never sure if I love watching moes videos so much because of my mommy issues lol. I just enjoy their interactions a lot even if there's stressful moments. Makes me wish my mom was more like moe, I see a lot of my dad in Moto. My ma never liked us in the kitchen and thus I never really learnt basic things and had to teach myself (all stuff she later reprimanded me for but how would I know how to do something in the kitchen if she never bothered to teach me). I don't think I'll ever have kids cause of my trauma but if I did, I'd love to treat them like moe and Moto treat sutan. I prefer verbal non violent parenting and this family is the example of how much a child blooms from that (though honestly, being violent towards the child be it even a smack on the bum is anything but parenting anyway)

11:44 it's good to see moto has the same exact way with moe to handle Sutan's sudden cry. That's the right way to not freak out nor react immediately when kids crying.

This was so delicious!! I never had chicken nanban before, but the sweet & sour sauce was perfect with the tartar sauce (and I felt a tiny bit better about the calories because the chicken wasn't crusted in panko) Thank you so much for sharing this Moe-san!! (also, for anyone who might see this: I didn't have pickles at home for the tartar sauce, so I just used raw cucumber and added a small pinch of salt to the rest of the ingredients. It was really good!)
