My house , my wardrobe and just about everything i have, has been from Goodwill, yard sales, thrift stores and estate sales. Unless I tell people where i got my items , they would think i spent a fortune on things. i always made what i could and sometimes i would match thrift items with handmade.( i learn to sew many years ago) I agree with you about spending money on good quality things . you are my kindred spirit little lady! I'm a single mom and nearly all my clothes and my kids clothes is thrifted, or sale (h&m and a shop called New yorker here in Holland) and i'm creative (mostley boho) but my daughter who is 14 is even more creative, she has her own style, matches up things, styles and hats, jewelry, belts, and stuff. Not everyone at her school gets it, but she is getting compliments most of the time! And i'm so proud of how she is creative. Sha has a massive clothing closet though. In Holland the thrift stores have these weeks or days where they have sale on clothing and most of the time it's 1 euro a piece, zo we get outselves many items for not so much money love it!! You inspire me so much! Since i watch your video's I have a different way of looking for things and finding them!!! Thanx!! My daughter loves your style also!! And when we go thrifting (my son likes it also btw) she helps me to find me items aswell! Thrifting also is a great way to spend quality time with my kids! Where my daughter and I shop for home decor and clothing, my son loves cd's, dvd's and books. When they were little i took them thrifting in hollidays so we had something fun to do, they bought toys or games, or stuff to play outside and the rest of the day they played with their New toys! Family games are also great to shop at the thriftstore... fun for the rest of the day guaranteed! ❤

Hi, I read your post. You said you were too old. You don't have to wear her style head to toe. Just incorporate a few pieces. I bet you could get away with a hat and necklace or shirt/sweater and shoes or just a bracelet and earrings. Don't do head to toe unless you are comfortable. Good luck, and happy holidays.

And most of the things I own are also garage sale yard sale resale shop and handmade things an most all my furniture is older as well even antiques . I have gotten things many times at auctions too .

Hi katia, i have the same the little benches you got, I used mine to put two big pots similar to the ones you have in the stairs, mine are from India and same color and style it makes my vases look nicer and it lifts the smaller one so that it levels out with the taller one, my vases are Mexican Talavera and the wood benches make them look so nice.
