      Dr Berg has a lot of insights as well as Dr Peter Osborne they have a lot of information reguarding nutrition. In addition consider looking in to the ttfd form of thiamine. Elliot Overton has many videos about theraputic thiamine dosing. His channel is E.O. Nutrition.

      WOW! EXCELLENT JOB! I love it when people are proactive with their health. So, many people don't realize that Type 2 diabetes is completely reversible. Keep up with the benfotiamine. If you don't see a significant change in 90 days, that may be because you need a complete nerve support formula containing all of the critical nutrients. I'll enclose a few links to our videos to help educate you on this:

      @NerveDoctors  2 роки тому +24

      Hi Amjad. I'm so sorry you're having to cope with depression and anxiety. This is truly a problem of epidemic magnitude in this country and others. You can treat both anxiety and depression naturally by using supplements that have been proven in clinical studies to be effective. This would be: GABA, Passionflower, Valerian Root, Licorice Root, Ashwaganda, Rhodiola, and St. John's Wort. You do need to be careful with St. John's Wort because although it's very effective it cannot be taken with other prescription antidepressants or MAO inhibitors. Also, I highly recommend that you work with a healthcare practitioner that can test your neurotransmitter levels. Addressing the imbalance in neurotransmitters and correcting it will be extremely helpful.
      Also, when dealing with anxiety doing breathing exercises or guided meditations can be extremely helpful. I've include a few links for you.

    Is Benfotiamine synthetic?

    • @NerveDoctors
      @NerveDoctors  2 роки тому +15

      Happy New Year, Sangeer. Yes, Benfotiamine is synthetic and it is the ONLY synthetic supplement that you will every hear me recommend. This is because thiamine will not help with nerve repair because it is water soluble and has tremendous difficulty penetrating the lipid (fat) layer around the nerve. Benfotiamine is a fat soluble form of vitamin B1 so it very easily penetrates the lipid layer of the nerve. So, when dealing with nerve damage Benfotiamine is necessary. Here's a more extensive explanation of benfotiamine: ua-cam.com/video/sJvwUeKd6Xw/v-deo.html Let me know if you have any other questions. This was an excellent question. Blessings.

      Please watch our video on Benfotiamine. It is not made from coal tar, ammonia and acetone. • @NerveDoctors
      @NerveDoctors  2 роки тому +5

      Hi Omar. Yes, benfotiamine is safe for children. I need a bit more information. How are you trying to improve brain function? Just overall or is it specific for something like ADD. The best foundation you can give your child is fish oil. This does a great job supporting brain health for both adults and children, but especially children. A brand that I like is Nordic Naturals. Here's the link: amzn.to/3jrV0qS
      Get the liquid because it will be easier for a child to take. It's usually lemon or orange flavored and you can mix it with 1 oz of organic apple juice and it tastes, yummy like that for kids. If you get the children's formula, I would recommend 1 teaspoon twice per day. If you get the adult formula then 1/2 tsp twice per day. Blessings.

      Are you eating enough carbs? Apparently enough carbs is necessary for utilizing high amounts of b1. If you look up ray peat and b1 I think you'll find some links to understanding the need for balancing macros, and having enough carbs, when you're giving the metabolism a boost, like supplementing b1 can do.
      Said another way; what you're experiencing might be low blood sugar, because you're not eating enough calories. Did you know that low blood sugar trigger the "stress hormones"? It feels very similar to anxiety, but you'll never solve the symptom before you avoid low blood sugar.

However, if you're using it for peripheral neuropathy, you really need a complete nerve support formula. If that's the case make sure you watch this video: Vital Nutrients for nerve repair: ua-cam.com/video/wPruq49-ksU/v-deo.html
      And the formula we use for nerve repair is the one that we created many years ago when we got disappointed and disillusioned by all the poor quality nerve support supplements on the market. Here's the link for you to learn more: nuphoria.com/

    Hi, I have a left lower leg pain and musle twitch and mucsle has gotten smaller the the right lower leg, and left forearm hurts and feels like something riping it apart like tug of war, it hurts, and went and showed my doctor my left arm where the mucsle has gotten flat half way down my arm and indented and mucsle don't go down my arm like the other arm muscle does, and before a year ago it was the same, I had a blood draw and arm started painting for 3 months, then my cat bit me so went to get a tetanus needle that is when nothing was the same, but maybe it's not that and a b1 or b6 deficiency, I have a b12 deficiency and I'm on injections for 5 months now, and I take magnesium, and vitamin d for parathyroid and high calcium problems I had whitch I had an adenoma tumor parathyroid gland removed in my neck, I have gullstones and a fatty liver but not from drinking, I guess not eating good and taking to many motrin pain pill, and I had an endoscopy in November 24 2022 that said I have stomach inflammation, doctor said gastritis the lining of stomach is red and inflamed, so I'm really stumped on what is going on with my body everything hurts even my back, I'm wondering if I rub my right side neck where my vagus nerve is why do it feel very tender but the left side of my neck on vegus nerve don't hurt, can vagus nerve problems harm leg mucsles arm mucsles, can vitamin b1 cause mucsles to get weak or lose mucsles mass or get smaller???? Hi Cindy. Wow, my love, you have a lot going on. Ok- let me tackle the easy part first. Vitamin B1, whether it's in the form of benfotiamine or thiamine, will not cause muscle atrophy (shrinkage). Atrophy can be caused due to nerve compression, malnutrition or even certain medications. Given the dysfunctional state of your liver, gallbladder and stomach (most likely your intestines, too), I can almost guarantee you're malnourished. Your body can't assimilate all of the nutrients from food that you're eating if you have all of those issues going on. Many, many people who don't drink alcohol excessively or at all can get a fatty liver. Yes, it can be a result of decades of a bad diet. So, there are a few things that you absolutely need to do. First, I would see a neurologist to determine if and where you might have a nerve root compression. Next, I would see a Functional Medicine doctor who will be able to help restore your gut back to health. All of these things must be in place for you. Here's the link so you can find a functional medicine doctor in your area(www.ifm.org/find-a-practitioner/)

      I would also start on a good quality nerve support formula to help with the repair process of the nerves to the muscles that are atrophying. Please understand, the nerve support formula will not reverse the atrophy. It will help slow down the nerve damage until you can assess what's going on. Blessings.

      My husband once had an atrophied muscle in his back that was getting more and more shrunken and had been bothering him for over a year, after no luck with physical therapy/nerve stimulation, his friend recommended a chiropractor, who made an adjustment that opened it up. He immediately felt tingling in the muscle, and it soon came back to normal .

    Hello i have little blurry eyes and double vision and nerve pain sometimes. is this because of b1 deficiency?. Please reply
    And how much should i use 150mg or 300mg benfotiamine.
    I went to many doctors here but they couldn't find the reason.

    • @NerveDoctors
      @NerveDoctors  2 роки тому +12

      Hi Varun. There are so many things that can possibly cause blurry vision from vitamin deficiencies, especially B12 but also B6 and folate, to eye strain as well as too much screen time (computers, phones, tablets, etc.) It certainly would be beneficial for you to take a B complex supplement for general health but there's no guarantee that will clear up your blurred vision. I would also google eye exercises and implement those and it's always wise to have an eye examination. For a maintenance dose of Benfotiamine you can use 150 mg. For a therapeutic serving I would use 300 mg. Blessings.

    I disagree with her. For peripheral neuropathy, I find that one must greatly reduce B6 intake and definitely don't supplement with that stuff. Of course, keeping blood sugar down helps as well. I have tried all forms of B1. The form that I am currently using with some success is (high dose) sublingual mononitrate.

    Be careful with the dosage and always go with medical advise for these synthetic drugs. I had a nasty reaction but yes I see its benefit. You got to have magnesium and others to go with it too.
    If you are a healthy individual always have natural unfortified nutritional yeast and rice bran. But for those who need B1 for chronic issues yeah please work with a doctor as our bodies are unique.

    B1 or Benfotiamine increases carbs and other nutrients metabolism therefore potentially leading to hypoglycaemia. The antidotes is to increase your calorie intake. Be well ❤

      Yes, I will try 4th of a tablet 37mg and see what happen.
      I've been without now a few days and energy much better. The daily requirement for B1 is low. Very low. It's hard to say how much B will convert to tiamin in the body. I decided to try supplement with B due to tinnitus and to hopefully optimize sleep. Coming from a very, very hard overwork condition 2 years ago with severe insomnia, I didn't sleep for 2-3 months except few days 2-3 but had to mix sleeping pills to survive become hospitalised for 2 week were they try to get me to sleep and did kind of get some help still sleep was poor for another year at least. Eventually, I learned the notiest that many nutrients in my body were low (why I think B1 is, too). Reintroduced cows' milk, which includes a lot of nutrition, D3, and magnesium good foods, and I started to sleep so much better. Today, I'm perhaps 90 % recovered and happy I survive this period. Extremly tough times. I try very small dose coming days and evaluate. Have a good day Dr.

    After a month of use:
    My pee, my breath… smell like thiamine.
    My ears are ringing louder than they were. I feel irritable, light headed, have brain fog, am more frequently searching for names, or words that I know well. I looked it up again today because I do NOT think this is good. Wonder who funded these studies. Not sure megadosing any synthetic supplement is ever a good idea, but I heard several docs making all these claims, so I tried it. I am 56, male, and in good health, but always looking to improve. My lower back generally doesn’t bother me at all. Now it is aching a bit right at the level of the kidneys. I wonder if she has any personal experience with this… I suspect not. I don’t have diabetes, or neuropathy, and I am not a alcoholic, so maybe I just don’t need it. I think it’s thrown my system a bit out of balance. I call 🧢🌈🦄
