That was a lot of work, but man you organized that well! I'm envious because it is much easier to store and bring down into a basement than it is climbing up attic steps. Great job! 👍
Hi Sean. Hope you had a Wonderful Holiday with Family and Friends. It’s always so sad when it’s time to take down Beautiful Christmas Decorations like yours and others. It’s always so much more fun to decorate, be creative and try new and different ideas, taking it down to pack and store away is not fun. My favorite times of the year are Halloween and Christmas. Love these two so much. Wishing you a great New Year for 2025’ my handsome friend.❤😘
Ahh.. the joys of seeing your decors on full display during the holidays and the challenge of putting them all back again. Although I'm pretty much driven to have things organized, I still watch endless videos online of organizing (everything!) aside from crafting or doing projects to motivate. Glad you did one! The amount of space used in my attic room came mostly from containers of containers of Christmas decors and next Halloween. The rest are things that still need to be rid of all by yourself. Another challenge of living alone. And yes, swear all you want Sean! 😉
Sorry another comment. One year we saved our dried up tree all year and then sprayed the bare branches white and used them for the next year to decorate the house and the hanging light over the dining room table. So pretty with little white twinkle lights. My husband was the Christmas king and supported all my crazy ideas. Also there was bourbon involved.
I have these really neat iron icicle ornaments, and one year I saved the top half of a tree and spray painted it in the fall once all the needles were gone. It was great!
I live in a small suburb outside of Chicago, and people here really celebrate Christmas. Everybody keeps their stuff up at least at the end of january, lots of holiday parties and after holiday parties... really great feeling.. Plus, the official end of the holiday season is January 6th I believe it or 7th...on three kings day, but you're probably excited to let's get ready for the next decorative holiday...lol.. Really like your show
Thank you! I think because I was in retail for so much of my life, once Christmas was over it was time to push out the old and bring in the new. Haven’t been able to shake that mentality!
Was exhausted watching you disassemble Christmas. Had to be a labor of love. I think your organization will definitely pay off. Was a treat seeing both kitties. They are so sweet. I am so looking forward to seeing you reset for 2025. Something I need to do also, but on a much smaller scale. Thank you, Sean.
Thank you! I was exhausted watching it while editing, lol. It’s a labor of love putting it all up, but taking it down is just sheer willpower and stubbornness 😂
Sean, you did such a fantastic job of Christmas decorating! I always dread taking them down as the house looks so bare afterwards. Glad you are a fellow cat person! If you need a helper next year to take down decorations I'm available 😊😅
We took all of ours down and got most of it out in the garage so it can go back in the attic. Since we are getting up there in age I think our going all out in decorations are coming to an end and just tone things down a little
I'm sorry you cut your finger! I was over the moon to see the view from the mint julep balcony, it in and of itself looks amazing and the garlad was perfect 💜
@restoring_sean Yeah you do! Just kidding. All you do is restore and improve things! I love you use the Central American prison cell as a Halloween and Christmas decorations storage room 🙂 Kissing your boo boo from that mean Christmas tree cutting your finger 😘😘😘
WOW impressive! I'm totally amazed at the work! I did give up a natural tree for all those reasons. We lit it one fire one year at a bon fire... they way it went up so quickly and with so much heat was scary!
I know you worked very hard to put Christmas in a box, so to speak. I must tell you I found it very relaxing watching you work! Great job, and have a good week.
Oh my goodness… You have one of those stick Ritchie things like they have in the department stores! You should share the link to that with people… I never even would’ve thought you could buy one of those. But I guess you can buy anything these days. 🤪
It is interesting to see the actual quantities of decorations - quite staggering! I like the way you explained some of your key strategies for storage. Enjoyed the video. Thank you
I finished taking down my upstairs decorations today. Being sick just after New Year's postponed the inevitable. Tomorrow I take down the downstairs tree. In all I have about four totes jam packed with stuff, and I think that's a lot of work! Kudos to you for doing all that by yourself!🎉
It seemed like yesterday you were putting up your Christmas! I love decorating , I have a or I should say, I had a small tree , I decorated with raccoon ornaments ! Which I have collected for years! I’m a perfectionist , to say the least! Took me hours to get that little tree just right! I set it up next to my bed , so I could enjoy it I’m my room! Big mistake , I bumped It I the middle of the night , raccoons everywhere ! I was so over it , those raccoons stayed on the floor for a few a few days, and yes, I reset it , but far away from me and my dog! Anyway , enjoyed you, and your video , your two cats are so cute! Happy New Year ! My best ! Michael from Fresno, Ca.❤
Thank you for sharing Michael! I definitely snorted at “raccoons everywhere” 😂, I’ve definitely been in that sort of situation. I was so frustrated with a project the other day and the mess I made that I walked away for a week and, in my mind, was “teaching it a lesson” hahaha.
Under the guise of watching you take down Christmas I think you are secretly taunting us by giving us tiny glimpses of The Estate that we won't actually see for several weeks yet. Not fair...but I like what I see so far!! 😎
I remember the last real tree I had , I foolishly thought I’d quickly charge out of the door with it when it came down. Result I emerged outside with a bare twig whilst inside was a foot deep pine drift! One completely blocked cleaner later….
Hahaha my front porch definitely took a minute to clear off. And the droplets of sap that somehow managed to take flight across the house despite the blanket!
Feel free to swear! A good four letter expletive is much more fun. My mantra lately is “F**ck right off chucklehead!” 😂 just be you. Damn, life is already a dumpster fire…😊
It is sad to put away Christmas, I leave out “ winter” decorations garlands, white lights, snowflakes, snowman that don’t scream Christmas. You get the idea. A lot of your decorations would work for that idea too.
I understand that! I’ve just always looked at January as the big “reset” and it makes me happy to get everything clean and put away. That’s also because it’s been decorated to the gills since the start of September 😂
It’s always been more fun to put decorations up than taking them down. You did a lot of work!😮
I totally agree! Just like flying somewhere for vacation; the return trip is always a bummer.
Well done. I am envious of you being so organized with storing your decorations.
Hahaha, thank you! I promise this is the first year ever, lol.
That was a lot of work, but man you organized that well! I'm envious because it is much easier to store and bring down into a basement than it is climbing up attic steps. Great job! 👍
Thank you! That's a definite perk of midwest life, lol, I do love a good basement.
I'm so glad you left this all up long enough so John and I could see the Christmas Magic you created!
I'm so happy you guys were able to come by!
I like when you swear! Keeping it real haters. Now piss off!!! 🤣
🤣😂
WOW!!! Huge amount of work and so totally organized! Looking forward to next Wednesday!
Trying to stay organized! Always happy for sales on totes and painters tape 😂

Thank you so much! Happy New Year to you!
Someone MORE organized with their Christmas stuff than me! I give you credit with the fake snow. Never used it, never will! 😂
Hahahaha!!
"Swamp creature of garland.” 😂 love it!!! I’m new to this channel and really like it a lot. Chill and relaxing vibe. Great job. Thank you!
Thank you! And I didn’t know what else to call it, that thing was taking on a life of its own 😂
Holy shit!! How long did it take you to take it all down? Also thanks for the extra video
I was actually thinking the same exact thing 😊
Mmmm I think I did it over the course of four days total? Actually putting it AWAY in the basement was today 🤣
You know your from the Midwest when you have Menards bags to use as plastic bags 😊
Haaaaahahaha YES! They’ve got pretty great quality plastic bags, too 😂

Always so pretty when it’s all up, but then ya take it down and this is my face looking at it as it waits to be sorted and put away “😒”
@@restoring_sean You're not the only one. An apt description I say haha.
The extra work you did on the large tree was really worth it. It was spectacular!
Thank you very much!
Organized and handsome! ❤
Thank you 🤗

I hate taking down Christmas
It is much more enjoyable watching you do it.
I hate it too 🤣🤣
Hello my friend. Dennis from Dallas Texas. I’ve only just found your content and it’s outstanding. Looking forward to many more. 🎉
Thank you Dennis! Welcome to the channel!
Instead of packing my Christmas boxes, I watched you finish off yours.
🤣😂

Got her done. After the exploding Christmas tree lol❤
Hahahaha indeed!!

Haha thank you! It’s definitely a grimace when they’re down AND put away, the sadness seems all encompassing without the Christmas cheer 😂

Since we are getting up there in age I think our going all out in decorations are coming to an end and just tone things down a little
I don’t think it’s a bad thing/idea to tone down. Next year will be a bit scaled back for me… which I say that now, we’ll see how I am then 😂
@@markwagner4909 I always say I’m scaling back then arrive home with yet more garlands and cow bells for my ‘pared back’ look. 😂
Thank you for sharing this. It's the exact "kick in the pants" I need to finish putting my Christmas lovelies away. 💕
Hahaha I’m glad I could help! It’s definitely not on the fun list of things to do 😂
It was oddly soothing watching you systematically put “Christmas” away. Good job!!!
Lol, thank you!! Only soothing in the edit, I think the reality would have been chaotic and frustrating for whoever was involved 😂
I'm sorry you cut your finger! I was over the moon to see the view from the mint julep balcony, it in and of itself looks amazing and the garlad was perfect 💜
I need some furniture and things for that balcony, gotta keep improving it!

You may not be an organizing expert, but it looked very well organized to me. Another enjoyable video. :)
Thank you!
My Christmas came down 28th December - I’d had enough! Mine however fitted in three tubs! Good job, love your videos ❤
Thank you! Three tubs would be such a breeze 😂
WOW impressive! I'm totally amazed at the work! I did give up a natural tree for all those reasons. We lit it one fire one year at a bon fire... they way it went up so quickly and with so much heat was scary!
I’ve burned them in the past too, quite the inferno! The nostalgia factor just might not be worth it anymore 😂
We pack and store exactly alike, I have 35 totes, way too much I'm sure. Great job.,
I need to learn a good time to stop buying them but I just don’t think I’m ready for that time yet 😂
Just found you. Love your Christmas decor.
Thank you!!
I know you worked very hard to put Christmas in a box, so to speak. I must tell you I found it very relaxing watching you work! Great job, and have a good week.

LMAO I didn't! That's the extender pole for my paint roller hahaha
It is interesting to see the actual quantities of decorations - quite staggering! I like the way you explained some of your key strategies for storage. Enjoyed the video. Thank you
Thank you! Even for me, seeing all of the garland in one place after adding to it but by bit over the season, I was a little taken aback by it 😂

You’ll see a lot next week, I promise!
Kudos. So much work. You need a like-minded companion to help.
I do!

i dont take mine down until the 1st Feb .. still have this to come ..i dont have a real tree through
I know a lot of people that do the same! And I get it, having something nice to look at through January is never a bad thing ♥️
Can you fly to Auckland NZ please and organise my Xmas decorations please? ‘cause she is organised!!!
