    I just wanted to thank you so very much for your video. I actually watched it last year when I was about to pull out my one year old earth angel in frustration because there were no blooms, but I watched your video just in time. And now at two years it’s finally blooming. The blooms are beautiful and the fragrance is like grapefruit. Thank you for encouraging me to wait. 😊

    Hello, you have the most Gorgeous Roses I've ever seen. What is your secret to fertilizing them spraying them and caring for them? I'm in 7B with clay Rocky soil and this year mine didn't do to well. I have 1 Earth Angel but it's only 1 year old. I hope mine will look as Beautiful as yours. My Poet's Wife from David Austin did exceptionally well and it's only 1 year old (Own Root) rose. My David Austin Queen of Sweden my husband transplanted from a large pot to the garden this year and so far so good but my Charles Darwin roses have done horrible. Lots of black spot and the bugs took over it. I thought they were Yellow roses as brochure showed but mine are a pale Peach color. Any advice? Thank you.

    • @backyardparadise2334
      @backyardparadise2334  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you so much for your kind words. I do not spray my garden with anything including pesticide and fungicide. I only water and fertilize my rose regularly. Earth angel will take a while to establish and give you mature blooms like those in the video if you grow it from own root. I do not have Charles Darwin but I have read that its color varies from peach to yellow depending on the temperature.
      Below is the link to my fertilizing routine. I truly believe by giving roses enough water, sun and fertilizer they will grow healthier. 🥰

      @@backyardparadise2334 ive been working on creating a whole ecosystem in my yard. I’ve got everything from lizards to snakes to frogs to birds to insects. This year I am concentrating on putting in medicinals and herbs that are havens for predatory insects, my goal is a self sustaining system!
      I was reading an article not long ago that was talking about having a huge infestation of (insert bug- for instance last year late July early august I had the largest infestation of leaf footers I had seen to date)- they were explaining how these large populations of x insect brings in their predator insect, and following seasons the problem is taken care of (if left to nature). Fragrance is a very subjective to everyone has different sensitivity to smell. I have a rose named Belinda's dream. I tried to smell it with my friend at the same time. While I didn't smell anything but she smells a medium strength Raspberry fragrance. Myrrh, Citrus and old rose scent are very distinctive in my opinion. Those are quite persistent to everyone. The rest is really depends on the sensitivity of individual.
