We started 2024s garden from our seed, in our sunroom. We finally planted the garden on June 14th - 15th! Our spring weather was cold, windy, and alot of hail. We knew warm weather was on its way. We share some great #tips that have worked for us over the years. A few great #garden #projects and #quick #howto #weedkiller videos are on our channel. TY for stopping by!

@@PandJsHomesteadAdventure Yeah! we are on well system too and need to water a lot especially during summer so the straw system would help to conserve water.
It really does work to keep moisture in and hides the sunlight from the weeds! We use to use wood chips, but we prefer the straw and it's cheaper!

My grandmother had the greenest of green thumbs. She never watered from the top either. This was in both Ohio and Texas.

We use drip hoses and it's working great! Oh my goodness! You're getting some amazing veggies! Oh my goodness! That's a lot of tadpoles!

Hi Paula and Jason! I like gardens with rows. It makes sense to make the plants more accessible. Lots and lots of varieties of peppers! I didn't know you could talk to squirrels to get them to help you in the garden. 😉 Fresh mint for tea is the best! My Dad and I had a tadpole relocation mission when I was a kid! Also from the pool cover. The lavender and tiger lilies look great. Good job clipping the rose bush. It looks like the garden is coming along so well. Great video!

Omigosh, look at this! Everything looks great! How you manage to do all of that planting is beyond me, but thanks for sharing your garden's progress. That mint is part of a little concoction called "Flat Belly Water," that you just reminded me to make.😊

Hi Paula and Jason! Very good tip about the watering the mounds. I always did it that way. Not a good idea to get the green parts wet when it's sunny out either. You have an awesome garden. Will be beautiful very soon. Straw is a great tip also. I have not tried it but I have seen so many people doing it that way. We'll definitely do that next time we start a Garden. 8:52 Ahhh lavender ❤ What a great idea with the flagging tape on your fences. Will keep that in mind. Thanks for sharing!

Great planning ahead with putting the garden rows where you want to put the future greenhouse. Yes! I have the best luck keeping the deer away with things that blow in the wind. Thank you for talking about how you keep your plants from going to seed too early. Awesome garden tour. Thank you so much for sharing. Ps. my biggest growing area is in my horse tanks. The soil must be doing good because I found worms in them this spring. But after watching this about your mounds, I've decided I need to also put straw or something on the top).

Hey Good Day!!! Beautiful garden Paula & Jason!!! Y'all keep a nice place! Heat & drought here. Over a 100 some days & 90s. Cukes didnt come up it so dry sun is just burning some things. I came across some organic , all season cabbage seeds earlier this year. There doing good. Heads are forming now so looks promising. Black eyes & corn doing great. Things close to cabin I can get water are fine. Have a great weekend !!!

New subber as of tonight! Hooray Mason bees! I have 2 nesting boxes here also! I love in spring when they come out so many.. my home isn't treated with any pesticides and I allow so many wild flowers that many call weeds to prosper through the year for pollinators. 😊 Your garden is amazing! 👍
