Vinnie, I have to admit, I was skeptical about you reporting on this. But you've turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Your coverage has shone a light on the dark underbelly of the community connected to the courthouse in Eastern Kentucky. For too long, we locals have suffered in silence under oppressive and abusive conditions. Your work has given us a voice, a chance to be heard, and possibly, a step towards healing. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for standing up for us. You've brought hope where there was despair. With gratitude, The Locals of Eastern Kentucky
This is hearsay so far. Vinnie is great but I want to view the facts. Some lady says that she saw the judge having sex with who? she doesn't even know. Yet she says she was there? Hmmmmm
He knew he needed to stir the pot and take pokes at the big guys. I do not think he guessed this would happen-but he's not to blame for their actions. His witness is brave, courageous and in danger. I believe he is also repping another client that is dead via set up. Perhaps a third that isn't speaking out. There are dozens of more victims he is representing in spirit as well. That judge not recusing himself, the court staff expressing displeasure with him, you KNOW he's doing the right thing. And it is an endemic Appalachian problem.
I believe it was not sexual, the judge and his cronies were threatening the Sheriff by contacting his daughter & maybe wife and telling them to call him off, or else.
Welĺ,the comments get fewer each time reporting is done on this case. I guess everyone has heard all they need to know now or just have no speculating left to be done. I am definitely watching this court case when presented to see what all is played out. I don't have a clue about the sheriff's family and how they fit into this w/o just "guessing". 😮
This is a good episode, good research and reporting, but I really wish you wouldn’t use this term “sextortion”, it feels tasteless, and makes the issue feel less serious or trivialized in some way.

Let justice prevail or the heavens fall.
Yes, hope it doesn’t involve the sheriff wife or daughter.

This behavior in the judicial system is not a good reflection on them who earnestly.. serve the public…! EMBARRASSING!!
And the Judge was even smoking in chambers? Haven’t been allow to smoke in public building for decades😂😂 this is a reality show circus
Same story repeated.
Thanks, I was recognizing that as well.
This is the 3rd or 4th reiteration of this exact same podcast.
Help?
QUESTION:
You need a courthouse, a judge , a sheriff and iffi ers for a town of 2,000?
2,000?
We had more people than that in my college quad!
It's a county system. Though I do not know how large the county is..
Did the sheriff know there was a camera in there?
I don't see any video.
So messy

Judge was NOT named as a suspect.....AFTER this all happenned here comes the blame game!! SHOW US PROOF!!
None of this happens without the Judge's oversight. There is zero chance he is not aware and permissive, if not also an offender.
The statement about his involvement was made way before the shooting.
@@Ieezeca We shall find out......He did allow smoking in there though Hmmmm.
@@susiew2521 Really/ Then I wonder why he wasn't charged.
@@Ieezeca Maybe he knew about the sheriff and was going to turn him in.
