The only thing you forgot is to switch on the heater to allow the hot coolant to move through the heating hoses. If not, this might create an airlock in the cooling system.

Good job, but its not mandatory use distiled water to flush the system, use ordinary water with no problems, you drain all the water after the process anyway.
