  • For over 20 years of living in this area of France , none of us have ever seen such a natural disaster , the best word to describe it is the flood which destroyed everything in its path !
    Torrential rain , thunderstorms , a 2nd lake at 1st and then a 3rd one ...
    Muddy water falls ...
    Landslides ...
Muddy waters in the kitchen ...
    Water inundation ...
The beautiful blue pool turned into a muddy mess ...
    Leaky roof :(
    Destroyed roads and paths ...
Water getting in everywhere amongst many other things along with Edd wandering out in the stormy weather ....
This episode was a bit hard to edit as it showed us all the damage and aftermath after a massive storm ...
The amazing trailer was done by the lovely & talented brothers Billy & Michael ‪@ThePethericks‬ & ‪@DoingItOurselvesOfficial‬ x x x
This is part one , part 2 to follow next week ...
If you have any advice let us know in the comments x
Thank you so much as always Anna & Edd x x x

What a guy Ed is! He was so concerned about his family and not wanting them to worry. I found that so enduring and sweet how he took charge of the clean up. What a sweet man he is.

Little Charles protecting himself (instinctively) by wearing his duffle coat to school the next morning is a good thing, it shows his internal coping skills. Ed, how wonderful that you are so keenly aware of his distress and working to do what you can to relieve your child's stress! Your video demonstrates that no one has a 'perfect life' all of the time. Good job!

Edd, you've been rather a hero to me, but this was 2 yrs ago, it cements into place, your brilliance in design and workmanship, and here is proof beyond doubt that your level of dedicaton and care for not only your family, but for all those in the vicinity, and the depth of love to go that extra special bit further to comfort to Anna, Emma, and Charles 😢❤ AND the chickens! Yep, that is what a hero looks like ❤️❤️

Thanks to you and Anna for geting the place all cleaned up and ready for our (renewal) wedding! 😍 We’ve definitely decided this is where we want it. 🕊🕊 Wishing you all the best and so thankful you’re all okay!

You have a good point Stacy about Ed stepping down into the hole. Here in Australia we have flash flooding all the time (mainly creeks/rivers bursting their banks). We have grown up knowing never to enter rushing water because you don’t know the depth and debris. So easy to be swept away and trapped/injured with debris. However Ed you were very careful and you weren’t entering a real creek or river, just one temporary watercourse. Well done keeping your cool assessing the damage to your vast property, and your calm and positive approach to cleaning up. Anna to be commended for helping the children cope with this unprecedented storm/flood experience. Lots of love from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🥰

I’m so sorry to see the devastation of your beautiful land, but I’m relieved to hear that everyone is safe. Edd and Anna, you are amazing. Edd, thinking of your family’s feelings and the effect it was having on them, as well as your concern for the village. Knowing that getting home as back to normal as possible would ease their concern and fears. 💕 Anna, your calm and soothing voice while talking to Emma, I’m sure kept her feeling calm and safe. Even taking a moment to show us the beauty of the roses, even the white roses were still gorgeous. I’m hoping that this does not set you back much further after this damn pandemic. Much love and best wishes to you from Southern California. 🌞

When we had a flood in our shop which was full of material and timber, the insurer advised us to hire a dehumidifier which turned out to be a marvellous machine. I reckon it could help in Charles’ bedroom and possible even the kitchen where water may have entered into the fabric of the building. We now keep one by permanently and find it useful for all sorts of wet dramas! All good wishes to you all for recovery.

I live bordering a marshland and our cellar floods. My advice would be to get floor fans to dry the floors after the water has been removed. Don't want to have mold. Also, if you think it might happen again, sands bags in front of the doors may be a help. Good luck with your clean up. Also be very careful walking in a flooded area, be aware of electric cords as water is a conductor.

We had horrible flooding here in some areas around here, followed by fires, which one destroyed an entire town. The devastation continues for those people to this day. The flooding destroyed farms and livestock. It was also the hottest summer that we lost 700 people alone in Vancouver.
Poor little Emma crying over her table and chairs broke my heart and to hear how Charles reacted from fear also broke my heart. Thank goodness it wasn't any worse than it was for you. I don't know how anyone can make a contingency plan for the future if this reoccur. All you can do is stay on the higher ground and pray.

Oh Anna & Ed, my hugs for you. Glad everyone is alright. Sorry I will write a lot. Just want to help you with watery condition. I can understand your worries & the aftermath bcos I had experiences with unpredicted wheater too in my family retreat home, in multiple times. It was also in the valley with more terasering landscape & stairs, & river on the bottom. For outdoor, check for the soil for the erosion on all the water pathways, especially for the solidity around the buildings & stone stairs. For the wood materials, especially for doors/cabinet, check for perhaps the slightly expansion near the edge. I used the warm-air (not the hot one, the middle one, I don't know what the words in english) on my hair drier to prevent further water capilarity into the wood. Give enough air circulation to prevent moisture on you furniture. Well, I hope it could help you. Also please check your tile roof if it was too windy, sometimes they slide ❤ from across the globe

I'm so very sorry this happened, but I love seeing the genuine care and concern Ed and Anna have for making their children feel safe and secure. It's so important for their long-term health. When parents are supportive and caring during a crisis, it helps them build resilience. Very well done, Ed and Anna!

Hi Edd & Anna, first off Edd what a wonderful man you are, recognizing...staying calm and just getting on with it to make sure your family is taken care of and feels safe! Poor Emma, when she saw her table, that just broke my heart and poor Charles, hope they are both feeling better! One thing with children they are usually very resilient and your children have such loving, caring parents. I'm so sorry you guys had to go through this, thank goodness everyone is safe! Loved the bit...Anna distracted you Edd, coming in looking all hot! Thank you for sharing...take really good care of yourselves, stay & keep safe! Sending warm hugs to you all! Much love Kathy x 💖🥰

So sorry this happened. You are both amazing people and so inspiring. Anna… you have the kindest most gentle nature and I’ve learnt a lot from watching how you positively talk to people. You’re also such a lovely dedicated Mummy… the moments you show with your babies are very precious ❤

Ed your loving attitude toward taking care of the things your whole family find most important to each of them it wonderful! To think that they will in many years get to look bad at this vlog and see how you responded to the situation and see your focus was on them is a priceless treasure for the future. Praying for many blessings to head to your family in the near future. Anna I love your cheerful attitude in all twists and turns that life gives you. As a part of this wonderful community here , I’m sure if a Go fund me page would be set up we all would love to help. Every week we have been watching you work so hard maintaining such a stunningly beautiful Chateau. I’m so sorry that nature has been so disruptive, as for insurance companies well the less said the better. 😘

Thanks for sharing. Glad you got on your way quickly with repairs. Hopefully you were able to fill the washed out holes with larger stones. I got to know the grounds better with the flooding tour. … Love your kitty. I had to say goodbye recently to my 19-year-old black kitty Pietro and his love 17.5-year-old calico Noelle. They were always entwined and cheek-to-cheek. I still have a few rescued kitties.
