I really love that the emperor knows what she's doing, but it doesn't stick his pride but instead he listens and takes in the words of people he respects. That is the sign of a good leader; knowing who to listen to and when to listen to them and not putting 'pride' above all and overruling anyone who doesn't agree with him.
And I love that Shaoshang is a big/good enough person that she doesn't revel in the misery of someone who was once cruel to her and instead cares more about doing the right thing instead.

I love shaosheng and the emporers relationship. He treats her like a daughter and she knows how to talk to him especially when he’s upset. Really good drama
