Arrived and up and running. Fab piece of kit, lights up our farmhouse kitchen beautifully and it's a big space. Great also for the Oztent. If you and Ang are in West Wales anytime you can have an overnighter on our smallholding, us preppers need to hook up and exchange info keep up the good work

Here in south Africa we have load shedding our electricity goes of from 2 to 5 hours a day so being in the dark is normal for us we have adapted and overcome with new solar energy products it's brilliant

Nice. I have the biolite setup which is similar but without the kinetic option, but it will charge my phone. Now wondering if I can make that work with a thirty quid hand crank generator for when there is not as much sunlight. I was always interested in the gravity lights that deciwatt used to do.

The lamps are super, they light like they are paid for it. But there is one thing, if it is necessary to run battery operation, why would you charge your mobile phone, there is no power there is also no mobile network. Shall we not soon have a good dinner I need.

Back to the age of candles for light when it gets dark. Candles are not expensive, but do need to make sure of fire safety. That cost could buy lots of food, water and a bunch of candles. Just my thoughts. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Have a grand day.

Have you ever thought about going north to Alaska or Iceland or as far north you could get and try doing survival camps in the snowy Forrest’s and when they have darkness for longer than us in uk during winter or months in the darkness

You need to think outside the box. The power grid cant be fixed under some circumstances like an EMP or war. Last year, parts of Scotland went without power for over a week due to storms, one of those lights would be very handy then. Deane speaks just fine, very clear and better than someone racing get their words out. I find people who make comments like yours, it stems from jealousy.
