Hey Barry, in America we have Slush Puppies all though finding a shop with a machine is the hard part!!! I live in Washington state and the closest one is in IDAHO! About 3 hours from me, I grew up drinking them, we also have another drink similar called Slurpee's sold at our shop called 7-11!!! I noticed this machine makes more of a Slurpee and an actual Slush Puppie, Slush Puppies are typically small pieces of Ice like rice !!!
On a serious note: You could probably slush most cocktails with this thing, as long as they don't have so much alcohol that it prevents freezing entirely.

They add the liquor/cocktail mix to the cup first than pour the slushie mix into the cup. It gets pretty mixed into it as it goes in but I guess you could give it a big stir to make sure it's all evenly distributed.

Yeah, the main issue was the lack of sugar in the mix for some of those. Sugar inhibits the crystallization, allowing it to get to the proper texture and not just as a sheet of ice. Alcohol does the same thing. Was a pastry chef where we did fun ice creams and gelato.

Then when he cuts to them discussing the possibility of why the machine isn't working as well notice that it's spinning counter-clockwise, pushing the beans into the spout. I think Barry accidentally turned the machine to dispense instead of mix at some point. 10:44
