- Taking a look at more of my son's Pokémon card collection - you won't believe what he handed me yesterday!! I don't know much about cards, I just like looking at them. This is meant to be a relaxing video, I hope you enjoy it.

Love the video. The Machamp you mentioned at the end in that condition is about $5-$10. That gold Snorlax you showed at the very beginning is worth about $70 though. Cheers for a relaxing video as always :)
The Snorlax card is really nice! The stars you can see in the card art are there because that Snorlax is what is affectionately referred to as a "shiny" Pokemon, which is a Pokemon with a different coloration compared to the typical colors for the species. Shiny Snorlax, for example, is a darker/bolder shade of blue than usual! (The Crobat near the very end is also a shiny!)
Shinies first appeared in the video games (which I still play, rather than the card game) a long time ago, and many shiny colorations are very popular with players! Similar to the cards, a shiny Pokemon appearing in the games will be accompanied by a brief flurry of stars or sparkles, and they tend to be VERY rare, so a player finding one is always a special moment!
The Unown are letters! If you look by their name on the card it tells you what letter it represents. Same with the Pokemon Power.

I think transferring them to a new binder may be a good idea! I’ve heard that ringed binders end up damaging cards, so it’s best to put them in binders without rings. Plus, they’d probably be more secure. Love the video! ^_^
They won't be damaged in a D-ring binder that doesn't have excessive pages.
For the Mareep’s, they are different levels. That’s what causes the difference in HP. The level is to the right of the little description :) the 40 HP one was level 12 and the 50 HP one was level 18

13:30 the artist Yuka Morii makes pokemon models out of clay for the TCG art. It's very distinctive and she still makes them to this day

You should really switch into a binder with no metal rings because the rings can damage the cards😊
I have an official Pokemon TCG binder with D-rings and with the sleeved cards in exactly 50 pages, the cards never touch the rings.
Get them graded. Then they’ll be worth a lot.
Grading just isn’t worth the hassle unless you’re a hardcore collector or looking to sell
