John5 4 life...juss can repeat myself...he is so soft talking, has such a feeling in his playing...following his carrier since 15 years...
I LOVE that he loves to tell his stories. I've seen so many interviews this week and he tells the same stories. But they NEVER get old he puts so much passion into his work it's what I strive for
Haha I know. He is great and I've seen many of his interviews and stuff. Yeah, he tells all the same stories. And also.. When he is showing off a guitar or something, he has a handful of things he plays. But God he is so effortless and proficient and excellent. Cool nice guy too
This guy is so easy to like as a person and forget the skills... unbelievable
I used to use hotwire cables in the 80s. They were thick cables with those kill switch type ends on them, where you could pull them out and not worry about them making the loud noise. They were ok, but couldnt really handle long time heavy use. Mine began shorting out after a few months. My drummer accidentally dropped a cymbal on one and snapped it in half, believe it or not.
John Lowery from Grosse Pointe, MI. This guy's playing just kills me. Too much.
Awsum interview! I have the Squire J5 gold Tele and it's incredible-double binding, satin finish neck, matching headstock, love the upper toggle switch! Thanks John5 & Ben!
honestly I don't know shit about guitars let alone playing them, but for some time John 5 has somehow inspired me to pick up a guitar & start learning
wow I just bumped into this comment I left 8 months ago, And now I have an ibanez and I've learnt many songs on it. thank you John 5 for inspiring me
How old are you?
@@armind3870 I hope you're still playing!
Best decision ever Armin.
His style is so awesome, I remember wanting to mix all my favorite styles together 20 years ago.hillbilly boogie woogie blues metal lol ..he's the closest to any body besides r.h.h or junior Brown and my style I've ever heard
John absolutely killed it on this episode. Probably the best guest player in show history.
George lynch blows this robot away.
thomascampr I agree, great passion, great playing, distinctive style, amazing tone
lol! noooooo
Love Dave’s lombardo’s face of what during johns playing.
Great guitarist. Love his playing. Very unique. I could sit and listen to him for hours.
John 5 you're a bloody living legend, such a simple set up but so much noise - the new Roy Buchanan- awsome!
UNREAL talent.
Talented & humble musician, he is.
John 5 is kicks. Love him!
Pretty humble guy, love him, God bless him 👍
love daves reaction near the end
Kamizi After playing with Kerry and Jeff all those years he's not use to hearing good guitarists.
John 5 plays so good! And he was super nice when I met him!!
One of my new favorite guitar players, John 5.
the great and respected John 5
Funny , My dad loved Hee Haw and I watched it too!!
"Pickin 'n Grinnin.
I still think bluegrass is related to "metal"
I sat right behind him and his wife during this taping... Very nice guy...
He is so down to earth and such a monster musician. But trading that SRV autographed guitar has to be a major regret. "Play with feeling"...he obviously fully understands what that means now.
+buzzcrushtrendkill I hear ya...My heart sank when he said it...Can you imagine??? lol smh
Yes I watch every episode I know that he is gonna on. I remember Hee Haw here in Nashville .
John is truly a great player
Illoustous¡ John youve made laugh a lot youre one of my guitar heros Keep Rockin Dude 🤟🤟🎸🎸
You can peel my original first press 2010 Dave Murray Strat from my cold dead fingers. The later ones have decals where the 2010 the signature is part of the wood, I luckily found that out, because I would have bought a later model and not even known it was inferior.
John’s the man
The amazing John 5
"Mad Monster Party" is a Buckethead song too
Buck Owens and the Buckaroos. Spent MANY a Saturday night watching it. Roy Owens was a very talented guitar and banjo player...Buck Owens was no slouch himself. J5 seems to be very intelligent and well spoken. I also watched a vid with his guitar collection at his house. Looked like he just lives(d) in a middle class neighborhood or something...no idea where it was though.
I love my fender telle it's ben a good friend 52 fender telle it's #1
Top 5 best damn pickers , and hands down a Helluva nice guy..
Everybody gives credit to the vocalist of a band, but nobody gives the credit where credit us really due and that's to the musicians, because without them a band wouldn't be nothing! John 5 i could listen to him all day,he is so awesome!🤘👄👍💖
Dude has the sickest teles in the game
does he run it from the guitar to the, turner, overdrive, noise, octave, then delay to amp?
Just goes to show the reach guys like Buck Owens and Roy Clark had on future guitarists!!!
John 5 is doing very good for fender!
Not ONLY does whatever person out there have this Stevie Ray Vaughn signed strat, but if that isn't enough, they can also say they got it from John long before he was famous. Someone out there has a very rare item, don't they? Wonder if that person even has a clue...
that ripping solo
My Dad was a big Joe Maphis fan.
It takes a lot to impress Dave Lombardo and he was like who is that???
Dudes like you neighbor who comes over for BBQ and beer, but rips on guitar. He doesn't seem like he's a snob.
Flight of the Wounded Bumblebee?
Dean Markley strings? Blue Steels by any chance? \m/
invite Guhtrie Govan , Christopher Ammot, Jani Liimatainen or Jeff Loomis!!!!! Laiho would be great as well!!
luz electrca
Hahaha seems like j5 luvs the "ya know" thing...
I fucking love him. Bye.
7:32 After many years Dave lombardo hears a good guitarist .Kerry king did him wrong😥
Keeping the guitar hero alive. Not that video game! Keep practicing kids we need you.
Thank you John for not looking like the JOKER any longer.
John 5 ? John 10...the guy is boss babies!!!! Miss the makeup...
owen wilson man!
John, you're turning into Axl Rose.
I swear all the great guitarist cheez on this show wtf!
someone out there has a guitar that was signed by stevie ray vaughn TO John 5, and they probably don't even know who the John is WTF lol
WHERES THAT STRAT!?!?!
Was that joe bomanasa at 35 seconds? Lmao just kidding but he looks like the chubby version anyway
John 5 > you
dont loose the BASS player/ ( heavily garded - no interviews no anything)
Telecasters aren't easy to play? What? My first ever guitar was a tele, it's easy as fuck to play...thin neck, no trem, string through body, very light...can't ask for easier to play than that. I got it cause everyone was playing a strat and I wanted something that looked different.
+surgeyX i think it really depends on what you're used to. when i first got mine i had been playing thinner guitars with slimmer necks and better high fret access. certainly not as easy to play as a strat or a jag. now i've grown to prefer the tele though. awesome guitars.
+BamesJond666
Well to be fair, I have the Fender Tele FMT special -- it's very thin / light, it's not like a "normal" tele -- it also has a set neck so the upper fret access is like butter...The neck profile is also very thin...They call it "Modern C" but it's the thinnest neck I've ever played in my life, even thinner than Ibanez Wizard necks. So I guess my tele isn't like everyone else's :D
noice
+surgeyX I basically only play my tele, the only change was an aftermarket neck from warmoth cause I screwed up the fretboard while half scalloping it
surgeyX I own a Tele Modern Player and I feel like the tone is just untouchable really!
He's got to be so sick of telling the same stories over and over
"what is that" its called sweep picking sir and no offense, but it wasnt executed all that well.
Alamar If that was a sweep he was going for I'd be just as confused, sounded like he was muting most of the strings.
