Great video! It's hard to find anyone modifying these, it's too bad because they're such a cool little chassis!
I ended up putting the stock 1.55" wheel and tire setup from my Element Enduro Trailrunner on my CR-12 FJ45 and it made a huge difference. I did have to raise the body mounts a little to get rid of body rub but it was worth it IMO.
I really want to try a 1060/1080 Hobbywing in it, I agree the stock radio/ESC is too jerky with throttle response.

I live my Tioga.!! Like you I swapped out my ESC and radio setup. I have the same 1060 Hobbywing paired with my RadioLink R6FG/RC6GS radio. I love the clamshell body too. Really great video my bro.!! 😎

The Tioga is hands down my favorite 1/12 scale RC! I like what you did with the underbelly, what kind of putty did you use?

I used this epoxy they sell it's in a clear tube like a foot long and you have to cut some off and kneed it together and it's like putty and you can put it around or mold a shape with it and then it gets hard as a rock when it cures. search the web for epoxy putty you should find something like it. 😁👍👍

I find stock radio's seem to be a lot like that, twitchy. I always end up putting mine onto a GT5 now, love those radio's. Wheels and tyres always a good change but mostly I change the wheels.

Always a place to go to see how to improve a rig. Great ideas Steve. Sound advice for sure. The 1060 esc is a reliable one. Too bad the rig didn't come a little better setup. But for the price? Can't really complain. It is a cool truck for sure

Hi I put a new spektrum radio and receiver in it but you don't have to use this you can use a cheap flysky radio and then I put a hobbywing 1060 esc and it controls much better,@@jj78rcclub

Yes but it lasts very long because the motor is only a 340 size crawler motor. Thanks for looking.
