Love that you lock yourself in garden shed for Flight sim, relaxation time is very important in this modern high speed world.
I am currently building a dedicated flight sim room in my garage so I understand about "quiet spaces".
Loving your channel and thanks for all your advice for MSFS 🖐

I live there!!! Wow! I had no idea Orbx was doing an SGU scenery! I have lived here in St. George for a few years and regularly go plane spotting on that hill just to the west of the airport, good place to do hiking. Looks like they nailed pretty much everything very nicely, I'd say the bushes around are a bit smaller than the ones they used, and you totally skipped right over the warbird museum!
Great place to live, except it's to hot, 109⁰ yesterday and that's normal. Very gorgeous red rocks here and zion national park 45 minutes away. Utah's a diverse state, I was raised here so I've been around 😅

Ah awesome! No way I could survive in that heat, a few days in vegas nearly finished me off!

Excellent video, thank you. I am using this ATC program too. Had similar experience to you with the 9er bug and disagreement with the Simbrief plan. However I am really enjoying it. Looking forward to traffic control as FSLTL traffic tends to use opposite runways. That certainly breaks immersion. I hope they will let us include our own voice at some point.

I've realised that you don't get the 9-er bug if you just pronounce it as 9 (without the "-er" at the end).

Another top video AirNott, only recently found your channel and immediately subscribed, own the exact same CPU as yourself and contemplating upgrading my Gpu from a 4070 to a 4080 Super .. thoughts? Haven’t purchased beyond ATC as of yet but seriously considering it soon , thanks and keep up the great work mate 👍

I guess it would depend on resolution you're aiming at. I run a 4090 with a 5900x and it'll happily crunch other games high hundreds of FPS at 1440p UW. MSFS even with a 4090 can dump my frames to 20s depending on airport, vatsim traffic etc. But mostly my avg is somewhere between 60-90s on the ground with Framegen.. could be my 5900x holding me back on that one vs say an X3D CPU.
But anyho back to your question. From a few benchmarks based on other games, as there really is very little benchmarks for MSFS using actual aircraft instead of the stock aircraft. The 4080S practically is 20-27% faster vs the 4070 in certain games. You'll pick up an extra bit of Vram too which is nice. But the big question is the price.. those 4080S are fairly expensive. If you could sell off your 4070 for decent price might help the upgrade costs for you. But you could also wait it out for the 5000 series. There is no dates only rumor's as of now. It's always a hard choice to know what to do for "the best". But honestly I look at reviews, benchmarks and then go off what my gut feeling is. Sure 5000 series could come out and be better more, efficient but that'll always happen.

@@crazydanzI also run at 1440p mate with a Gsync monitor, I probably need to have a play around with frame gen etc I’m running it with TAA for extra sharpness. I do use FSTL injectior which absolutely batters frame rates but it’s such an excellent program imo. Waiting for a 5 series card and seeing what they’ve got to offer might just be the best idea. Cheers for your advice mate. Ps I reckon I’d need put about £500-£600 towards a second hand 4080 super if I sold the 4070 so not a cheap option at all, I guess I need do my homework and see if it’s actually worth it.. cheers again
