I had never heard this song before, and stumbled across it completely by accident today, and was entranced. Not only by the song itself, but this lyrics video. The artistry in both the music and the oscilloscope-displayed lyrics is simply stunning. The song has completely invaded my consciousness, and that is a very good thing. BEST LYRICS VIDEO /EVER/!
"without any cgi" is a stretch. The motion graphics used as input are by definition CGI. Their conversion into signals for the scope is a transformation implemented in software. It's clever software, of course, and used well. An oscilloscope isn't all that fundamentally different than how a CRT operates. Computer-generated imagery on a CRT is still computer-generated imagery, and the same applies on a scope.
