Carnival Cruise Food from Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse (Carnival Vista)

- See what the food was like at Guy Fieri's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse exclusively on a Carnival Cruise ship! We ate at the café for lunch and tasted the various smoked Bar-B-Que meats, including the Andouille Sausage, Beef, Championship Pork Butt & the dry-rubbed Blue Ribbon Chicken. The various sides we tried were the Mac Daddy Mac n Cheese, Old School Potato Salad, Collard Greens with Smoked Turkey and Molasses Baked Beans.
These were from our Spring Break 2022 cruise aboard the Carnival Vista.

Great video, like usual. One of the best things about Carnival is all of the non-buffet and non-MDR included food options. Even in the older ships without the branded optons, there are some really great selections.

The sausages looked sooooo good- I’m drooling here! Sounds like the food isn’t lack in flavors. I love spicy food so I definitely will try the Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse if I go on the Carnival Vista or other Carnival ships with that BBQ stand- pretty awesome that’s complimentary. Hi Joann and David, it was great you were on a new cruise recently. Even though you were outdoors, it's nice that masks were not seen on cruisers. It all looked so yummy. I love potato salad as long as there are no diced hard boiled eggs in it. The beans and mac and cheese would be piled on our plates. Hi from Bob and Jill in Connecticut

This looks so incredibly tasty! I’m more of a seafood junkie, so I tend to steer clear of Carnival for that reason. However, after seeing this video, which has me salivating uncontrollably, I will be taking another look at Carnivore - er, I mean Carnival.
Carnival actually had more shrimp dishes in the MDR than our recent Royal cruise which was surprising. We'll show the MDR dining in a few days. Yes the BBQ was quite good- we wished that they were available for longer hours & not just sea days as well. Thanks for commenting! 🙂

I just got off the breeze and the Pig and Anchor wasn't anything like you experienced. The chicken got cooked as long and the beef should have gotten cooked. The beef was super tough and chewy. The chicken was super dry. The pork was passable but very greasy. The potato salad was super watery with massive chunks of boiled eggs in it. The mac and cheese was flavorless. The beans were just plane odd. Pintos and kidney beans with a whole bunch of chopped peppers and a sweet sauce. The slaw was okay. The greens were the best part. They would have been better without all the stringy tough turkey in them though. Needless to say I didn't go back. Carnival is really going down hill food wise. They will be able to market them as weight loss cruises soon.
Sorry to hear that- appreciate you sharing your experience on the Breeze! Maybe Guy needs to do some retraining of the Carnival BBQ staff.

Collard Greens were so good. Just like they were cooked at home. Unbelievable!

Do Carnival Venezia have Guys Pig &Anchor? I really wanna try that and Shaq's big fried chicken. On the videos i only saw Guys Burgers on the ship.
Yeah you're right- it does have Guy's Burgers but unfortunately no Shaq's chicken nor Pig & Anchor. It does have La Strada Grill instead, which Carnival describes as having "best grilled Italian street food and sandwiches." So that sounds pretty good too. Did the baked beans have pork in them? I remember tasting the barbecue sauces and my favorite was actually the brown sugar one.
I think they did but not 100% sure

We had pig and anchor on the Panorama and sorry to say for the most part it sucked. Ribs were tough and fatty, chicken not good, worst Bloody Mary I've ever had. I'm not a food snob but this food was horrible.
Oh no sorry to hear that! Yeah I remember that even though most of the meats were good there was one that was tough & dry, but yours was really bad. Did you like the other food on the Panorama?
@@TravelTouristVideos Yes all the other food on the Panorama far exceeded our expectations. MDR was great, steakhouse was fantastic and the Italian was great. Loved the Pizza and guys burgers never tried the buffet but it looked good. I guess that's why I was so disappointed in Pig and Anchor.
Yeah too bad Pig & Anchor dropped the ball, but glad to hear the food was really good otherwise!
