  • This version of the Logi pouch is suitable for any of your preferred bag-making fabrics with the appropriate interfacing and stabilizer. I am using cotton woven for the exterior and cotton canvas for my lining. This version is suitable for any combination of exterior and interior fabric as there are no exposed seams. This pattern was created for members of the Geek Garden Fabric group, / geekgardenfabric . The pattern template can be found in the group files, or can be downloaded directly from Google drive: drive.google.c...
    Finished pouch measures approximately 8” wide, 4” tall, 3.5” deep.
    The Logi pouch is named after my youngest son, who we call Logi Bear.

    I'm working on skill building. Binding is not easy for me, but I do love this little pouch so I will make a bunch and practice.

      Short, straight areas of binding are a great way to practice. To be honest binding is not my strongest skill, I’m going to have a skill builder on binding in the future so we can all get better together!

    just recovering from surgery so my mind must not be engaged as normal, the bag looks a little tuff to me, although I am a bag maker, but I enjoy your teaching methods when my elevator goes all the way to the top. thank you

      Wishing you a speedy recovery! When you are back at it I hope you’ll feel game to try, the more recent quilted Logi variation has instruction that is a bit clearer than these earlier videos and may help with any tricky parts. And of course I’m happy to help any way I can. Feel better!

    Question about joining the two pattern pieces to make one pattern. Do all of your variety of bag styles use the two dotted lines joined on top of each other as one, except for the directional print? My overthinking things is rearing it’s ugly head and I’m making myself crazy over where to join my pattern.

    • @OKSew474
      @OKSew474  14 днів тому

      Hi Julia! Yes in each of the videos except for the directional print I have used a single pattern piece for the exterior, with two copies joined at the dotted line.

      Via New Jersey.

      I can see how you would guess that! It’s Australian moved to all over the US, my husband was Air Force but he is from northern NY state so I think there is some influence from him in my accent!

    When snipping into your zipper tape do you worry about it shredding, or is the fray-check enough for the zipper tape as well ?

    • @OKSew474
      @OKSew474  3 місяці тому +1

      I make sure the fray check goes into the snips in the zipper tape, that is the layer most prone to fraying. I get a drop right at the very point and it soaks out from there along the cut edges.
